  1. I like every episode and watch it several times a day and still love them. I like the one where George stops having sex, and so does Elaine. George gets smarter: "what an interesting turn of events" and Elaine gets stupid. She stands out front clapping at the spinning tires, and the 4 letter word for whinny the ---- "POOH" as she laughs. also the horse one with Kramer feeding him too much beef a reno RUSTY.....
  2. I went and did a fitting today, and now I am more confused. The guy suggested S400 which are heavier, maybe for a better tempo. I look on both True Tempers fit website, Rifles site, and compare my yardages to others that play x shafts, and everything single one I look at say I should be playing x shafts, but then when I get swing speed tested the guys at the shop (did it at two different places now) say to stick with s300-400. Confused. I think I am going to start a new thread asking this question for some input.
  3. what kind of swing, and swing speed do you have? I am getting new clubs and am probably going with X100 shafts. I have a 6 iron swing speed of 95-100 and my driver swing speed is around 110-115 on a normal swing. My swing is also fast tempo. I had played S400 for years, and just had a set with S300 but would loose the ball left and right on what I felt was good swings. Every chart tells me I need X shafts, but unlike most I am hesitant to step up to a stiffer shaft.
  4. I like that one. ALaska, the playing season is from 1000 am till 600 pm one day in July... just kidding, would LOVE to visit Alaska one day, my bother was stationed there for a year and absolutly loved it. That being said year round in Florida. Worst thing about Florida is trying to get out in the Winter with all the snow birds down and the prices go way up. Plus a couple days in FEB its like 55 degrees out..... BRRRRRR
  5. this is interesting, because I just the other day took a callaway X Forged 6 iron and a Taylor Made R7 TP iron to the range and hit them back to back for a bucket of balls. I can honestly say for the most part I could not tell the difference. On solid shots they both felt forged. On misses it was VERY minor between them.
  6. I started playing golf in the military at age 21. I LIVED for golf and became scratch in less then 3 years. I got out of the military, got divorced and decided to go the pro route (everyone I ever played with kept telling me I should be golfing) at the time I was a plus 2 handicap. I went and worked at a proshop and it was good for a while, the money was horrible, but I was living my dream since starting playing. Well I past my PAT for the PGA of America and saw how long and how much it would cost to get my card. INSANE!!!! so I went back to school, and got a real job. I realized at that moment that I got as far in golf as I was going to get and asked myself why I was still playing. ALSO I got very burned out on golf, for the 2 years I was running the PRO shop. I got to the point of coming off the course more unhappy then when I started. NOT to mention the time to play golf was getting (and for the most part) is still WAY too long. SO I quit for 5 years. I would play a scramble or two a year, just becuase co workers would ask me, or pay my entry fee (I could still shoot in the high 70's low 80's). Well LONG story short I have starting playing again this year about 5 months ago. WELL I actually enjoy playing agian. I have got back down near scratch, but just enjoy being out on the course with some of the old friends I made in golf. IF YOU take off some time, come back and DON'T keep score, play to play and be on the course. HIT balls on the range as a get away. IF you are not enjoying it then take a break, it will help.
  7. I was stationed in Korea in 95-96. I know back then, also in Japan, it was said the majority of golfers would never see a golf course, because of the expense. Most would just hit balls at multi level driving ranges with neting to catch the ball. Maybe this plays a factor. Also I played one round on a Korean course, it took 3 hours to play the front, and at the turn it took 2 hours to wait to tee off on the back, then the back took 3 hours. At the turn you had to wait in line while all the players sat inside and ate lunch. Very different experience over there.
  8. I probably average of the tee 280-285 carry. The fact is probably 90 percent of golfers don't hit the ball as far as they think. It is very rare I play with someone that hits it longer then me. NOt trying to come off wrong but the fact is people hit it shorter then they think. My buddy and me are always right next to each other and are both left handed and scratch golfers. He had the sky caddie one day and his average drive was 301 for the day. I just started playing again about 6 months ago after taking 5 years off. I do notice the equipment has made the ball go much farther then 10 years ago. I think they need to make sure the limit is near. JMO
