  1. I will be finishing up my college education (that god) here in the next year or two and was wondering...What things do I need to take a look at when considering joining a club? Any tips, advice, suggestions? I will be making my home in the northwest (Washington area).
  2. Nice job on making the team!! My best memories of high school were hs golf. Just relax and take it one shot at a time. One of the best tips I got in high school was, "If you get into trouble tell yourself BOGEY IS GOOD ENOUGH" Good luck let us know how the season is doing!
  3. Maximum of 14 Clubs I was looking in the USGA rule book but I can not find it, Asking a playing partner what club they hit I believe is a penalty. Be a good idea to go over any local rules you may have at your local course Also, do not forget movable and immovable obstructions...
  4. I was lucky and got out to play today right before I head to school tomorrow(wednesday) morning. Wont beable to play in till next summer. Well I shot, 40-39 for a 79 at Kokopelli in Arizona.
  5. Nope no public links championship tournaments for me, but kinda cool just to mention it...thanks for having me
  6. Mizuno T-Zoid Forged 9*, Stock Stiff Shaft Once I get out of college and start playing golf day to day I will most likely pick up the titleist driver. I have always been a fan of titleist my first iron set was titleist (981's, 2-PW, DG S300). Never have been a fan of taylormade although they have come out with drivers that are being played by many will half to try it out.
  7. Funny thing today watching the PGA championship 8-14-05, I notice that some of the guys drivers "phil's" mostly how short it was. I always choked down on the grip to give myself better chance of hitting the short grass. But my question is, what about the 3w? If you are cutting the the drive lenght down to 43-44 the lenght of a 3w is 41-42.5. Should the 3w also be cut down or does the loft of it enought not to cut it down?
  8. I do not carry a Hybrid club in my bag but I did carry one for a few weeks it was a Cobra Baffler although I hit it straight it did not compare to the distances of my 2 iron.

    Glove?

    I like useing the glove with my driver, 3w and irons because I believe I can hold to club softer without choking it to death. Also, I do not like useing the glove when useing my gw, sw and putting to give myself that special touch.
  10. Hey Guys, Went out and played my 3rd and last round of the summer intill next summer. Went and played a course I played a few years ago in high school golf. Shot 45, 39 for a 84 at Lake Spanaway Golf Course (Tacoma, WA) {http://www.co.pierce.wa.us/pc/abtus/ourorg/parks/LSGC.htm}
  11. Hey Guys and Gals, My name is David Baker but yall can call me DBake, I am 21 and from the west coast. I have lived most of my life in Washington State, and current residing in Arizona, but currently going to school in Missouri at Central Missouri State University on a baseball scholarship so my golfing time is little to non except in the summer with when I get a few rounds in. I have been playing golf on and off for 7 years now and my most memorable memory is playing high school golf for 3 years. When I was playing every day my handicap was a 9 and I could bet my handicap now would be a 12 or 14. My favorite course I enjoy to play is Golf Mountain Golf Club (Olympic Course) which will be the sight for the 2006 USGA Amateur Public Links Championship. My current golf equipment consist of Driver: Mizuno T-Zoid Titanium Forged, 9*, Accel-Arc Stiff 3-Wood: Titleist 975*, 16.5*, ProForce 65 Gold Stiff Irons: Mizuno MP-30, DG S300 Wedges: Cleveland RTG 900, 52*, Low Bounce Cleveland RTG 900, 58*, Low Bounce Putter: Ping IsoForce Anser F Ball: Maxfli Noodle Bag: Ping Hoofer
