  2. I agree. I recently even used my laptops webcam to record my swing and it really made a difference seeing my own swing. I would suggest setting up some sort of camera and taking a few different swings from all different angles. Take a couple swings lined up facing the camera, turn your body 90 degrees from the camera and take a few more until you've swung the club a couple times from 4 different viewpoints of the camera. If your swing is inconsistent like my own, you can not only see what your doing differently on swings that don't look great but if you do it a few times you begin to feel when it's off. Just analyzing my own swing has helped me make tweaks to keep it much more consistent.
  3. Congratulations, man. I just started golfing 4 summers ago and have only played 18 holes about 10-15 times because it's cheaper to play the 9 hole courses in my area; and I've only broken 100 four times in those full rounds. I've shot in the low 40s multiple times and upper 30s a few times through 9 but have also shot well in to the 50s and 60s when I started out, so I know it's completely different playing the full round. I plan on playing full rounds a lot more this summer and would be ecstatic to break 90.
  4. My buddy switched up his grip for a little bit and would hold his wrist at the top of his putter and he said it help him keep his putts on line. I tried to find a photo of it and found something pretty similar, but my buddy doesn't seem to have his hands so far apart. If you click the link, he uses a similar grip to the one called the BERNHARD LANGER'S GRIP. http://www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/Golf/News/searchresults/June-07/PUTTING-GRIPS/
  5. I've only been golfing for about 4 summers now and have tried multiple different putters (3 of my own and a few of my buddies). I picked up a used daytona 1 putter last summer and love it, but now that you mention it some of the putts do seem to come pretty hot off the club. I think it's just me over estimating the distance or speed of the green, but it might be the insert in the club head as mentioned above. Overall thought I haven't hit a putter that I can control better than this one.
  6. My first and only eagle came on a short par 4. 270 yards with a pretty crazy dog leg left. This was the second or third time I had played the hole and wanted to try and hit my 5 wood up and over the trees cutting off the dog leg. Right when I struck the ball and I knew I hit it pretty well but wasn't sure the distance was good enough to keep it on the green. When we walked up my ball was sitting about 5 feet from the hole. I was so happy with the shot that I wasn't even nervous to make the putt, just went up there and sunk it. I tried to hit my 5 wood over the trees a few more times but only made it close to the green once more by topping the hell out of it and the ball it somehow made it through the trees. It's a fun shot to try and hit but the margin of error with the distance either being short in the trees or long in the woods is pretty frustrating to try and replicate. Also, I can't draw or fade my shots on command so now I just usually try to lay up with my 4 iron and leave myself an easy wedge shot to the green.
