  1. Flesch wins twice using the ZUR-C Gives credit on TV for winning because he changed balls. Hope they would sign him. Next thought, he used Cleveland Launcher Comp driver, Cleveland CG Red irons and Cleveland wedges. Srixon-cleveland merged maybe they just merged contracts since cleveland does not have a ball.
  2. For me the extremes are worse with the R7. I have hit some really good drives and some really bad drives. With the R5 they are really good or kind of bad.
  3. I have a R5 TP and a R7 425 TP. My opioion the 460 is a bigger version of the R5. Why not have the option of high/low trajectory and left/right trajectory then just left/right trajectory. Why do I have an R5 in the bag? More consistent for me.
  4. how does cutting the butt end of the shaft change the flex?
  5. My winter practice consists of hitting off mats in a dome. The mats are very firm and unforgiving. As posted earlier you can tell by the sound if you hit a good shot or not. I was looking into an alternative to use and came across the Flextee Launch Pad. It is portable, so I could take it with me for those sessions. I was just wondering if anyone has used this item. Iam a little concerned about the "teflonish" surface scratching clubs. Since I use an old set for the dome I guess it doesn't really matter though. http://www.insideapproach.com/produc...mber=FT0001-01
  6. Happend to be killing time on the TM web site and came across these drivers on TM Japan. Can't read japanese so don't know all the details. I did find some info on the R7 and a site that you can purchase it for only $765.. Here is the info from that site "The Taylormade Japan New R7 XR is their most forgiving and technologically advanced driver ever. The deep 460cc high launching head is made for all types of players from scratch golfer to recreational. Then different lofts have different face angles with the 9.5*loft driver being 0.5* closed, 10.5* loft being 1.0* closed and 11.5* loft being 1.5* closed. The head and face are both made of forged 6-4Titanium. The club features TM's Moveable Weight Technology and comes with 1 x 2g and 1 x 10g weights installed as well as extra weights (1 x 4g and 1 x 8g) and a wrench and case. The stock shaft is a super lightweight mid kick Taylormade REAX 40XR shaft weighing between 38g(R) and 47g(S). This club is USGA Conforming." Don't know if they will ever be in the US. 7. A drill I like to use is a Dave Pelz drill not sure of the name but I call it the 20 ft drill, maybe he did too, not sure. I start with a fairly level, straight putt and mark off 7 paces on opposite sides of the hole. I try to get the ball past the hole but no farther past the bottom of my putter grip. (inside the leather). When I do this 10x in a row I move to the opposite side. If a putt is short of the hole or outside the leather the count starts over. This drill really helps judging speed. Another one I use is my 3,6,9,12 drill Again fairly straight flat putt. Using 5 balls. 3 ft make 5 in a row move to 6ft 6 ft make 5 in a row move to 9ft. Miss 1 start back at 3 ft 9 ft make 4 of 5 move to 12 ft. Miss 2 go back to 6 ft. 12 ft make 4 of 5. Done. Miss 2 go back to 9 ft. I used to start from the beggining if I missed the number at any distance but that got really frustrating and did more harm then good. I have a number of winter drills i do but know my indoor range has a "practice green so i just do the ones above. I far as on course putting goes what really helps me is taking 3 or 4 practices strokes looking at the hole then my minds has a fell for the distance. Seems to work. The around the world drill is fun, especially with a partner for some "skins"
  8. They are .355. You could pull the PX shafts out of your Callys, instead of ordering new ones. They are the same tip size.
  9. Here is my home track http://www.greenvalleyfloyd.org/
  10. I use the TP Red. Switched from the HX tour 56. I find that the red is softer and spins more around the greens then the black. I get similar distance off the tee with both. The black has a definite "click" off the driver which makes it feel a little firmer.
