Thanks alot, iv also been told that i lay the club off below the plane as is evident in the other video if i work on these things will it elimate my left to right ball flight?

Since i started playing golf my shot shape has always been left to right, at first it was a major slice but gradually straightened it out a bit. However no matter what i do i cant stop coming OTT, takeaway is good and position at the top of the backswing is good but as soon as i start the downswing i come over the top everytime. A straight drive for me is still about a 10yard fade but a bad one can be a massive slice, when i do try to swing inside out on the ball it hits the hosel and goes about 20yards to the left. What can i do to correct this? Videos:

I think i default to ball and concetrate on hittinh it rather than swinging my divots aim off to the left with my irons also, il look into trying to get a video uploaded thanks for all the suggestions.

safe to say im eating my words, but i am also happy because as i said before im a massive tiger fan but i tihnk he needs to win a major to cement the comeback

With a little over 3 weeks till the masters at augusta, tiger woods coming off a win at doral and mcilroy in a slump what will unfold at augusta come april the 11th. Tiger woods can return to number 1 by winning at bay hill in the arnold palmer invitational (which in my oppinion the whole world wants to see happen) but can he win his first major since 2008. Mcilroy is currently in a slump although he didnt play too bad at doral himself but does he have what it takes to win his first green jacket. Will bubba watson retain his title, will Mickelson win another or will it be an outsider to put on the jacket, one thing is for sure if on the sunday tiger woods is in contention it will make for an interesting watch especially if either mcilroy,mickelson and watson are also there aswell. April 11th cant come quick enough but untill then we have the arnold palmer invitational and the tavistock cup to watch but the first major of the year is always a highlight in the golf calander. Until then, keep swinging.

Im looking for a bit of advice, im a mediocre player (20 handicap) i have a pretty good swing but for some reason i just cant hit very far no matter what i do. I play with my friends who are 28 handicappers and to be fair bad players but they consistently outdrive me by 30-50 yards and not just that they are about 2 clubs infront of me. Does any one have any advice on how i can gain more yards?

As much as i hate to admit it being a massive tiger fan i think it is safe to say that the 23 year old irishman is set to eclipse woods as the new face of golf. Not only is he starting to dominate the game beating tiger and every body else but also he seems to be a sponsors dream, young number one in his sport with a young good looking tennis player for a girlfriend. with all the stuff tiger has had going on over the last few years with divorces and affairs and all the rest of it mcilroy has come into his own winning 2 majors and 4 other tournaments on the pga tour. i think within the nest 3-5 year mcilroy will be the new face of golf and tiger will live in his shadow until the day he retires.

i tried this with a 9 tho and it went nowere i use the hinge and hold to chip so i just figured the ball is compressing into soft sand thats what kills the shot.

So im having an absolute nightmare with this shot, fairway bunkers im fine i just try to pick the ball out cleanly im usually pretty successful with this. Greenside the same 9/10 i can hit both 1 inch behind the ball carry it to the hole n stop it with spin and take more sand and let it release (usually lol). But as soon as it comes to the 30-50 yard bunker shot anything could happen iv tried different clubs,taking sand, picking it cleanly and i either end up miles off the back of the green or i just get out n end up with a chip. Any advice would be appreciated.

I agree with the tee shot theory, my average scores range from 83 which is my best to 95 which is now a bad day for me and the scores i hit in the 80's come from when i am driving ok and bad ones vice versa. people say the putter is the main club but i think its driver id rather hit a 240 drive hit the green then 3 putt than top my drive try and hit a 3 wood out of rough then screw that up half the time and be on your 4th or 5th shot before you even reach the green especially on par 5's theres no way you can hit a good score doing that shit lol.

I totally agree, for me too the whole point of watching majors was to watch woods but now its not the same. Dont get me wrong i still watch them and i still root for woods but as you said with each passing year the odds stack higher and higher against him. But i also want him to win because rory mcilroy pisses me off, i have nothing against him but when all the critics started to say he was going to go on and dominate golf and that he was going to be the one to breat jacks 18 and not tiger really annoyed me. I dont think mcilroy is going to beat it infact the only person who can for the next 50 year or so is tiger i hope he does but i believe he needs to rid himself of sean foley.

After watching tiger in the barclays event this weekend i noticed his less than stellar performance one again. I dont know what he is working on or what his plans are for his swing but in my oppinion it doesnt seem to be working, he is 4 years without a major and tiger himself has said thats all that matters to him majors. He seems to start well for the first 2 rounds then lose all consistancy, distance control and his putting collapsed. Is it time for him to ditch foley as so many seem to think, if so who should he hire to coach him or should he not hire a coach at all?.
