That must be a heavy bag!!!

The whole Bob Rotella line. They really dont talk about course management but rather about every thought going through your head up until striking the ball. Helped me tremendously. I beleive he has about 5 or 6 books out now. If you read his books make sure you read the "Play to Play Great" first. Then follow with the rest. Now that I have the mental part of the game somewhat understood, I am now looking for a course management book like you.

Looking for a Scotty Putter Cover...
Boosty16 replied to Boosty16's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
ebay has only one right now and its from over seas...HELP!!! -
I hit my 7 iron 175-180 and i use x-stiff. With that yardage you need to be hitting regular flex. You probably dont get any height on your shots either due to the shaft not being in sync with your swing speed.

I am in need of a lime putter cover. I need this before xmas since it will be a gift... It doesnt matter what style (hula, custom shop, etc.) just as long as its lime color... Thanks!!!

Why did you get rid of the 695 mbs???
-
No, because wedges are the hot commidity right now on ebay in regards to everyone selling fakes (especially clevelands). When it comes to wedges, bite the bullet and pay full price at a shop. Do not buy from ebay...My two cents.

"raw" wedges and rust... thoughts?
Boosty16 replied to crazy_horst's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Will the rusting over time transfer to your irons if they are touching for a period of time? -
I was there on Friday with the wife and we were talking with the volunteers at the 17th and 11th tee boxes (they are back to back) and they were telling us that they volunteer Wed through Sun and as a thank you, the golf course lets the play for free sometime in January. I would volunteer in a second if I knew I was going to play that course for free... They also said that it costs $500,000 just to join and then $10,000 per month after that. Plus, that doesnt include the $2,500 they must spend in the clubhouse...RIDICULOUS!!!!!

I too was going to buy a set of clevelands or vokeys but decided to go the golf shop (Roger Dunn) and paid full price for new ones rather than go through ebay. I have a friend who has bought oversees via alibaba.com and found that everything he bought (about $600) were all fakes!!! Including Scotty Camerons... New wedges (3 each) at $119.00 each or possible fakes at $195 for all three. Rather than chance it, I went the for sure way!!! Good luck to all puchasing on ebay... I am buying a set of Driver, 3 wood, hybrid from a guy on this site and I called titleist and they confirmed that all three pieces via serial number where legit. Titleist even knew the loft and shaft for each serial number. That tells me the clubs have not been switched or tampered with... Boosty

What exactly is swing weight? The irons that I will be purchasing have a swing weight of D2. I notice a lot of pros use D4. What is the difference and is it a big difference??? Before I invest in my clubs I want to make sure I get everything right!!!
-
I hit the cb's today and they felt great. I also like the fact that the cb's are 2* stronger then the mb's. 47* for cb on wedge 49* for mb on wedge... The 2* difference is through out the whole set, 3-pw. I hit the ball high right now with my i3's which I think have the same loft as the cb's. I cant wait for xmas to get here so I can have my $1000 to buy my set...

They will confiscate any phone or camera or ask you to leave the grounds. I saw it happen last year to some people...
-
I cant take pics!!! Do you want Tiger breaking his 5 iron on my head when my camera snaps in his back swing??? Actually, maybe i will do it, and then sue him...Hahahahahaha

I really love the blade look. I have been looking for the last year, but there are very few out there. I am going to try the 695 cb's too. I almost puched the damn fitter in the face, he was trying his hardest to get me to buy something today. I knew I wasnt going to buy today due to the fact that I will have my $1000 after christmas anyways. But I want to buy something on Dec. 26th, so I want to make my mind up before then...

I go to Roger Dunn today to hit the 695mb's from Titleist, to find out that they feel like shit!!! I love the way they look it just seemed that maybe 3 out of the 25 swings felt like butter...the rest, like crap!!!! I see nothing but good reviews on them and I consider myself a good ball striker, it may be that my previous irons are more forgiving then the 695mb's but WOW!!! Maybe it was that I was hitting off mats or indoors. I'm gonna try again after Christmas to see if it was just that day or maybe that they were used clubs I was hitting. I also hit the x-forged from Callaway that those felt REEEAAAALLLYYYY nice!!! I liked the heavyness to them. I am also going to try the r7 TP's. I will have about $1000 in gift certificates and trade ins after x-mas. I really want the 695's but if they feel like crap again then Im going a different way!!!! Blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I got the day off of work so the wife and I are leaving the house at 6am to get up there and have breakfast nearby to get ready for a long days walk...Im also taking my skycaddie to see the distances that some of the guys are going to be hitting/laying up etc. Not to mention a few stogies too...BELIEVE IT!!!

Wtf!!!!????!!!!

Calibrate your wedges... Here is a link at the titleist website, scroll to the bottom and watch the video "calibrate your wedges" Do this with all your wedges, it helps big time... http://www.titleist.com/Default.asp?bhcp=1 Let me know how it goes!!!

If you going to purchase a set of wedges, let me suggest the oil can vokey series by Titelist. I just bought my wedges a few weeks ago and I love them. They are so very soft off the club face which is big for me since I previously had the m/b's from ping for the last 4 years. Remember though, the finish wears after the first time you use them and they start to rust over time. I love the look of the oil cans as they start to rust. It reminds me of a club that has gone through hell and back!!! Your weopons that you use all the damn time...BELIVE IT!!!

Did you just say hickory shafts? Your telling me the assistant pro that you played with couldnt give a rental set that arent circa 1920? That sucks.

Laser Rangefinder Questions
Boosty16 replied to follyforhire's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
The sg5 is awesome. I tried both the gps and rangefinder but the gps blows them out of the water. The sg5 shows distance to bunkers, creeks, mounds. It shows lay up distance, etc. You better have a steady hand with a range finder too. Rangefinders doesnt show the distance to front, center and back of greens. GPS does!!! My sg5 is absoluty the best investment in my bag today!!!
