On a par 3 playing over a lake, I bladed a 5 iron and hit a bird swimming on the lake. It was really sad because the bird flopped around on the lake for a while before expiring. I'd rather say that it was the people hitting into the waiting players that caused the dangerous situation, not the players ahead. We don't know who was ahead of those on the green. Regardless, you should not hit into anyone. After the second time I'd be having a talk with the players hitting into me.

Thank you guys very much. Mvmac, those look like some incredible wedges, however out of my price range. Another question about bounce: I see a lot of people have different bounce for their different wedges. What is the theory on this? If I have (x) amount of bounce on my 56* should the bounce for my 60* have more or less? And how much? Thanks again everyone! I'm so glad I found this site!

Hello all - I'm due for new wedges. There are a couple brands I'm looking at in 56 deg. and 60 deg. I'm having difficulty deciding on what bounce number to go with. I live in S. Florida, but I travel for work and mostly golf away from home. This can be anywhere in the country. I understand that having wedges with different bounce numbers might be ideal, but that is not the situation that I am in. I need the best compromise for wedges that I can play anywhere. I average in the mid 80's. I consider myself to be VERY "average." I would never consider myself in the percentages posted above. Just like any statistic, there can be more to a number than meets the eye.

Hello all, drinks are on me. I found TST while looking for reviews of equipment. I golfed some as a late teen early 20's (15 years ago) and just started getting back into it a couple of years ago. Like many my golf game suffers its ups and downs. I typically shoot the mid-80's. I travel for work and usually bring the clubs with me so you will probably get a lot of "where to" questions for different areas. Obviously there is a ton of good golf here in South Florida, but I'm not here all that much. I look forward to getting to know you all.
