  1. My practice swings always look and feel perfect, exactly what I want to do. My actual shot for some reason never resembles my practice swings.
  2. For as much as I suck, i still do well enough at times to make me want to play (and pay) more and more.
  3. I am playing a course 50 miles from me for the first time tomorrow. My regular playing partners have no interest in joining me, so its gonna be just me. Is it common for golfers to stick to one or two courses? Personally, I will play any course I can, regardless of what I may score.
  4. Too much hostility here. I played one today. Had a great time and we shot a 4 under. We had the mulligan thing, the string thing, and one "red bomb" apiece (ladies tees). I use it to practice more than anything since the 3 others I played with are better than I am, so my ball is not often chosen. Money went to a good cause and thats all that matters IMO.
  5. Smells like BS to me. I wouldnt give my CC info to them. All you have to do is look at the use of the English language. Its off. Look at the "contact us" page, no info. They even say they ship a certain way to avoid import taxes. Avoid. My $.02
  6. I had one from 9 inches or so the other day that if given to me would have been a par, but I missed it. I putt 'em all out
  7. I think about golf and nothing but when I am on a golf course. God help you if you don't.
  8. Unfortunately, I have that feeling that as soon as something clicks, something else won't
  9. Well, I didnt consider it as comedy. I took it as being ganged up on. And thank you for the comment on my score. 3 strokes less than last week.
  10. Well, like I said, you completely agreed with the below post, and then by saying you "really dont care what I do on the course" is quite contradictory. This entire thread started about me posting about a new golf experience, and that it was 'less than ideal' because I rode, and he walked. Then, I did say that the playing of Angry Birds was an exaggeration, and no one believed me. Heck, I use two apps alone for distance and scoring, I dont want to screw up my golf apps by opening a game. But, no one will believe that either. I never asked for an opinion on anything, simply mentioned my golfing experience that day. Then people came out and basically said I suck at golf. Have I been immature? An argument can me made, sure. Defensive? Sure. The comment in the other thread, probably out of line, but this thread isnt the first time I have seen someone get their ass jumped for not being completely, totally dedicated to golf on the course. And then you question my exercise regiment. Wow, man, if you only knew.
  11. I never cast a stone at my walking partner. Obviously he is going to be slower than I am in a cart. You got your sandwich for agreeing with this jewel: Me too. The course paired me up with some arrogant young kid in a cart that looked at me and thought I was some old bag dragger. Kid didn't say much, hacked up the course and played angry birds on his phone. I proceeded to whoop his ass and he barely acknowledged me when I complimented him on his few nice shots. I don't know why he was out there if he just wanted to play with his phone.
  12. I didnt join with the intent to make friends, and if they are gonna jump my ass for playing a game on my phone while waiting (whether I did or didn't), I wouldnt consider them friends anyway. Who said I didnt take the game seriously? Maybe he did, maybe he didnt. He didnt seem to want to be paired, frankly I would have rather played alone. Point taken, but I shouldnt get jumped for doing something non-golf related on a golf course. I dont care who you are. I'm playing tomorrow, and Thursday, and Saturday and Sunday *Edited for clarity*
  13. Wow, 11 hour workday, very tough to get out there. I am sure the much more seasoned players on this forum can give you more advice.
  14. I have been playing 7 weeks. The only advice my extremely novice self can give you is, try and play more. Dont know your time/money situations but if you can, play more and hit the range more. I also try and learn as much as I can from my buddies that play as well. Good Luck man! Also, don't ever post on this forum that you did anything non-golf related on a golf course. You will get jumped.
