Dear g0d, I can't stand how fake she is. If that wasnt bad enough, I stumbled across her audition video. Now I know the reason they put her on the show has NOTHING to do with her golfing skills. She's just one cliche after another...SHE cant stop talking about herself. Apparently she is the best athlete her highschool had.(fastest runner, best girl for baseball, spent all her time hitting golf balls...) She thinks she's a phenom in golf and poetry! http://www.thegolfchannel.com/bbv/f8...ges/nikki.aspx

Wow! That's a beautiful course. I remember thinking how beautiful it was while watching the target world challenge. sounds like a once in a lifetime opportunity, but then again, if your boss is the GM, then maybe not! Yeah, I wouldn't sweat it either, mr. +0.4 handicap!
-
I'll have to take a clip of mine so everyone can see why i still have a 25 handicap.
-
nice! did you make those vids recently?

heh, 37* here, but still no snow! I had about 40 min before work this evening. I stopped by the course worked on my approach shots on one of their par 3 holes. I took about 5 balls and took shots from 200yrds and in. I'm rusty on my shots with my lob wedge from 70-30yrds. Seems like I keep chunking all my 3/4 shots with the lob...

Absolutely! looking forward to some prime days in February! p.s.~ MI is a great state for Golf. Your home course looks beautiful. Some of the pics(ie; holes 8, 9 and 17) look like you can see water in the background, is it on Lake Huron?

It was 53*F today and Saturday. I was able to get out to our local muni course (Genesee Valley Park) There were about 30 cars in the parking lot. The clubhouse was closed. They allow people to just walk on and play in the winter "season". Even though there were a bunch of golfers, there were no delays and I was able to take my time. In fact, Saturday, I took my 6 year old son for his first time. We were able to play 4 holes at our leisure and no one waited on us and we didnt wait behind anyone. (I had my son tee off, even though he only has one club,a kid's 7-iron, and then would pick up the ball and drop it on the fairway about 75yds fom green. I would then tell him to try to get it on the green in 5 strokes.) I went today again by myself and paired up with a senior who was there all afternoon. We played 6 holes in the hour and half that I had before work. From what he was saying, another semi-private course had a 2 hour wait for a tee-off time on saturday!

not sure if this counts, I was in an indoor simulator. I hit one 332yds, straight down the center. (needless to say I ended up buying the driver I used, but off ebay for $80 cheaper than what the store wanted)

I know what you mean about benching a guy that ends up doing pretty well. I wanted to use chad campbell, but after he choked at the end of the Sony Open, I was hesitant to use him, but I benched him...Now he's the best one playing...

Hey, Stupid question, I know;(I'm still new to this whole forum thing) but how do you post a POLL? I clicked on"Yes, post a poll with this thread" But What Else Do I need to do after that? How do I post the two, or more questions? Thanks for the help, sorry for the ignorance ...

Yeah same here. Guess he was right...

Well this is what I found on ESPN forum, I cannot account for it's validity. It was posted by a complete Dumb @55 in their forum... "As has been normal with ESPN games over the last year they usually don't allow setting the 4some until Monday evening of the week of the tournament." It doesnt seem to make a whole lot of sense to me, since we WERE able to add new players Last week... http://forums.espn.go.com/espngames/thread?forumID=22&threadID;=430946&lastPostID;=1989666

Yeah, it was working fine for me last week, but today, I found one of my guys wont be playing. I went to drop him, but the list ov avilable players to choose from, ONLY HAS THE 5 (including my benched guy) in my list!
-
Phew... I was really sweating buying those!(you'd be amazed with how many balls I lose.)
-
Yeah, Thanks! (just emabarrased tht I didnt see it. I saw your avatar, so I tried everything, from "iacas" to "sandtrap" ) They have Mickelson on the list, but he won't be at the tourney. Also Luke Donald was unfortunately NOT on the list. (first time ever doing this, I'm gonna get my butt kicked!)

Thanks for the link to the article, Always great articles here. My only concern is the wear on the balls from the spinmilled wedges. I found another review on this site for the Taylormade rac Black TP using "Y" grooves. I've always played with the cheapest balls I could find(usually ti-tech, but recently "upgraded" to topflite) I'll be using Titleist Pro v1 this year, but am really weary about paying $3.67, per ball! One of the problems I have now is "scuffing" the cover. Would it be better to pay $25-$50 more for the tour taylormade wedge, or is there not too much of a difference as far as damage goes from the two wedges?

Thanks for the offer, $85 is an awesome deal, since the best I could find on Ebay all week was about $100 or so. Unfortunately I dont have the funds right now, so I'll have to pass. I'll probably be buying closer to the spring.(maybe even at the golf show, in Feb, if they have a sale too...) Great info too, thanks!

Looks like fun, I've always wanted to try it. Count me in! (um, how do I get the pswd?)

Hey guys, I was going through my bag while cleaning my clubs for,*sigh* winter *sniffle* hibernation. (I'll still be using them occasionally at the indoor driving range...) I think it is time to finally get a SW. I have a generic PW(48*?) and a Warrior "custom" Golf 60* LW. I seem to have probs with hitting shots between 110-120 yds. the lob usually is too short, and several times I hit over the green with the Pw for that range. Also I'm looking for anything that will help with putting more spin on the ball. I really am intrigued with the Vokey spin-milled wedges, but have a few questions. is there a difference between the 200 series and the other spin-milled wedges? Is there any difference between the "SM56.10" and the "256.10"? Also I'm trying to figure out the benefits of the larger bounce(i'm asssuming the larger.#, the larger the bounce area.14 is larger than .10 bounce area) One thing I lie about the lob wedge is how eay it is to make "flop" shots. I'm wondering it it would be best just to wait for the Golf Show in Feb to see if I can get fitted. http://www.upstatenygolfshow.com

Hey Everardo, How big is your putting green and what did you use for the putting surface?

Thanks guys for advice. The three lessons I took last year helped immensely. (pretty much it was just the basics and mechanics) I wish I could afford that again, not to mention 10, or 20. This upcomming season, I think, will be my "free golf" season. Which basically means, I wont play many rounds of actual golf, I'll just spend my timeout on the chipping and putting greens. (and a bit at the range)

Hey guys I just got a box of titleist HP sf as a gift. I've tried putting with them inside at home, and they feel nice off the putter, But I cant find any info on them at titleist's site. Are they similar to the Pro v1's? or are these a "value" ball. *one thing I noticed on the box, was that it says If I send any Cut balls back to them, they will replace with THREE[3] new ones, no charge! is this for all titleist balls, or just the HP's? Thanks!

I've been playing for only 2 seasons and still have a pretty high handicap of about 25.( I say "about" because the only way I know how to do it is by seeing my averge game and how much over-par I am) I've taken three lessons with a PGA pro and it helped me become more consistant on my iron play and lower my handicap to it's current spot. I've noticed all the training aids out there, and although some look like gimicks, some look like they can really help. I'm currently thinking about getting the "Inside Approach" I figure it can help with my driving and iron play consistancy(or lack thereof ) Anyone ever use it, or have one they recommend, or highly DONT recommend? Thanks!

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be misleading...That was one of the pics I found while looking at different outdoor synthetic greens. I was really impressed at how real it looked.(not impressed by the price though ) ... I still haven't done it yet, my backyard is pretty small, 50'x50' or there's about. I'll just have a small 10'x10' green in the corner, i can chip onto and putt on. I'll try to incorporate a small decorative pond with some flowers,(aka, water hazard),to appease the mrs...
