  2. Haha! I'm building a video. Taking a small shot at Keegan. Thanks for the tip. For the life of me, I cannot find it anywhere.
  3. I'm trying to find the Keegan Bradley commercial where he keeps stepping back. Can anyone remember what that commercial was for?
  4. I believe the major difference between these 2 drivers is their adjustability. With more adjustability comes the higher price. I believe there are almost the exact same head. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
  5. I agree with rustyredcab, the shaft and the head work together for optimal launch angle and spin rate. Taking the shaft a putting it into a different head can produce radically different results. Perhaps the head weights are different; or the weighting INSIDE the head is different; the hosel depth may different. Hopefully that answers some of your questions.
  6. Don't be afraid to try it out. But also keep in mind that there may be another 3 wood from another company that works better. Don't just buy a club because it says Titleist on it. Try a bunch of different 3 woods and find the best one that works for you.
  7. I believe the Perma-Soft has been discontinued. The FootJoy PureTouch would be the most comparable.
  8. I personally wouldn't teach that, but if it's working for you, stick with it!!
  9. Great point. Golf is meant to be fun and social. Unless you're playing tournament golf, there's no need to be serious and get upset over bad shots. It makes your playing partners feel uncomfortable and not enjoy their rounds.
  10. Ya, Ping did that research a while ago. The average player hits a 17 degree 4 wood further because the ball stays in the air longer than a 15 degree 3 wood. This is why TaylorMade is selling a whack load of 3HL (17 degree) RBZ fairway woods right now. I still think the loft in the 4 iron is out.
  11. SG5 features over the SG4 Color screen Better and bigger controls A proper USB interface. (The SG4 uses some goofy plug in. The SG5 uses a standard mini USB port.) You can definitely do that. The downside to the Android app is that it's also your phone. What kind of battery power are you going to have left at the end of 18 holes?
  12. If you feel like you are making solid contact with all of your irons, there is a possibility that your lofts are out of whack. It sounds like your 4 iron may have been weakened somehow. With the Titleist 695's being a forged golf club, it is possible. Get your lie and lofts checked to see if they are correct. You're going to hit the hybrid higher because the weight of the club head is in the back to help promote a higher ball flight.
  13. Good drill!! Works on hitting down on the ball and not trying to help it in the air.
  14. Make sure you're setup correctly: Ball positioned off of back foot Weight on front front Then swing the club with SHOULDERS & ARMS ONLY! There should be ZERO lower body movement. No wrists, no hips, no weight transfer, no rotation. You want to keep your weight planted on your left side for the entire shot. Lower body movement causes too many issues controlling the club head for a small shot like this. Make sure you feel like you are striking down on the back of the ball. Some drills you can do: Chip with left hand only Stand on left foot and hit chip shots Chip with left hand and stand on one foot
  15. Couple of things I would change there are your open stance and your turn through the ball. I always teach my students that if there are fewer moving parts in your golf swing, the fewer chances for mistakes to be made. I'm assuming you're chipping if you're "keeping the club close low to ground on the backswing." Perhaps try having a more square stance. It can be open, but just a touch. Also, get the majority of your weight planted on your left side (assuming you're a righty). Leave the weight there for the entire shot. There doesn't need to be weight transfer for a short shot like this. Make sure you hit down on the ball at impact. It will help with ball contact. And finally, don't get stressed over the shot. Just relax and pull the trigger.
