  2. www.tomshardware.com does really extensive testing of a lot of products www.smallnetbuilder.com is another really good site for network components
  3. I would have loved to stop by since I only live 15 minutes from you, but I am out of town for work all week. I'll have to stop by and check out your shop in the next few weeks since I have never been there.
  4. Funny. My favorite street shoes have a ton of holes in the sole :D http://www.geoxusa.info/ Check out the technology of the breathable sole. I have a pair that is about two years old that I wear almost everyday I'm not wearing shorts. They are by far the most comfortable pair of shoes I own (a close second is a vintage pair of super thin soled saucony's). http://www.shopgeox.com/Item.aspx?ProductID=3242 I wish they made golf shoes. I think I will be heading over to Golfsmith to check out some True golf shoes this afternoon. Thank you for the informative thread. It made it unnecessary for me to start a different thread titled, "How Much Has My Game Suffered Since I Have Never Owned Golf Shoes? -- Are They Worth It?"
  5. Thanks for the links. I am a little bit surprised that this drill is still taught so much. I think I remember reading about it and trying it in the late 80s or early 90s in Golf Digest. I guess there really is something to it for it to still be relevant this many years later.
  6. Hello, I live near Minneapolis, MN and I am 32 years old with a 2.5 year old son, and I am trying to figure out how to juggle my time around enough to get to the golf course more than twice a year -- that is not an easy task. I normally shoot around 110 for an 18 hole round, but I am really hoping to get that number more under control. I played a lot as a kid and then ended up too busy with all of the other noise in my life, and golf has pretty much been left by the wayside. None of my normal friends are golfers, so I am struggling with figuring out the whole "Hack Single Player" etiquette thing. - Here's to those couple shots a round that make you forget about all of the bad ones! Pete
  7. #2 at a Home Automation/Integration company. We do very high end (six figure) jobs that include large dedicated screening rooms, video distribution, and usually lighting control. There are 10 employees and I am the Director of Engineering and sole Programmer (AMX mostly). My other common answer to the question is: "I help wealthy people buy and use expensive high tech toys". :-D
  8. Hello, New member here, and I thought I'd kick things off by sharing my favorite swing drill. This is the one drill that easily made the biggest difference in my swing, and the only drill that really gave me an "AHA" or "Lightbulb" moment. I am just starting to get the golf bug again after years of not playing and wanted to re-read the details about the drill. I searched here and couldn't find any mention of the drill. I look forward to getting back into the game, finally breaking 100, and hopefully finding a few more people to shoot a few rounds with. Thanks, Pete Here are two videos that teach the drill. I look forward to all the comments about it from the smart players here:
