210-220 depending on the shot I hit
-
It sounds like your all set but if your on short courses and want a different club I'd say go with a lob wedge. I recommend a 60* at the most but its your call. Not many guys on tour play a true 60, they generally have it bent to a 59. I do like my 60 it saves me when I have a short pin and I'm stuck behind a bunker or If I need it to stop really quick.

Own one myself. Workability and consistency is the best part about this club. Favorite club in the bag!!

How Many Hybrids Do You Carry?

How sick are the i20 hybrids? I love mine -
You definitely need a stiffer shaft with those swing speeds. If your looking for a good driver that will be good/durable and custom built to your swing, PM me and I can hook you up with one about $100 cheaper than anything you'll get at a store. Heads are built for long driving and with those speeds, your gonna crack or dent your standard manufacturer driver sooner than you'd like. Also, the shafts will be built specifically for you swing and give you the trajectory needed to maximize your distance. With that swing speed and you describing the driver as 'whippy', I guarantee your hitting the ball too high or you are slicing it. PM me and let me know. Zero tax, free shipping, free customization and builds it for free. Mine is in my sig and it is incredible. Guy that builds them is in long driving contests and just started a new company.

Wedges - 45 to 52 too big a gap?
DufnerDip replied to Ricepr's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
it also depends on what shots you will be using each club for. I have a 51* PW 56* SW and 60* LW, I use all of them for different purposes. I like chipping from the fringe with my PW but never out of the rough. I generally use this method if the pin is in the middle of the green or on the other side. I use my SW, of course out of the sand and chipping from the rough. I'll use this or the LW on a short side pin. Use the LW if I have a steep slope out of the bunker or pitching over a bunker or to a pin on the short side of the green. I can flop with the SW or the LW but prefer the LW. I know thats off topic but my gaps are also pretty solid. I actually prefer my PW from the fairways unless I'm inside 110 yards. Like broomhandle said, you need to practice the 1/2-3/4 swings and see how well you can manage those because that will tell you a lot if you need to add one extra wedge or just play a 3 wedge set. They will all play a role from the fairway and around the green and personally I like a little more loft on my SW. Never liked a 54* out of the sand. (I guess these are all pretty standard situations just trying to give you a couple things to think about before you spend your money!!) -

Desmond acts like a child and obviously doesn't know when people are being sarcastic and a big reason this thread is a pain in everyone's ass. He's prolly the best golfer ever -

Thank you pinnacle one of the only guys that doesn't freak out over a set of golf clubs that they won't even be owning to begin with. Someone actually has an honest opinion and doesn't get angry at the next guy. Everyone else, next time you have a thought, keep it to yourself. Guy asks about golf clubs and y'all have absolutely butchered his thread. -

Favorites: Dustin Johnson - Great athlete and he can crush a golf ball. Rarely has a terrible round and puts up solid numbers almost every weekend. Very laid back and really enjoys golf and doesn't take being on the PGA for granted. Also, he's a guy!! Tiger Woods - I love how he can picture a shot in his head and execute it so often. I feel like he, more so than 99% of the other PGA players, sees his shot before he makes it and the ball goes exactly where he wanted it to as if there's a tunnel he's hitting thru. Shows his frustration and knows that he has no one else to blame and he even gets pissed when he misses the left side of the fairway and ends up 20 yards 'too' far to the right. Incredible what this guy can do with a golf ball. Jason Dufner - Dude just has swag written all over him. Smoothest swing in golf. Dislike: Gainey - 2 gloves make him look stupid Phil - Don't like his vibe, never have. Really not sure why Sabbatini - same as phil

check out taylormade tp cb's or mc's. less offset than most clubs that are similar to them and have a smaller cavity on them than your burner pluses. theyre forged and have a nice feel. you could also combo set these to fit your game better.

good wedges for a high handicap player?
DufnerDip replied to lisevolution's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
every manufacturer has a different sole grind. some are more rounded at the bottom and some, for me, are easier to align with the straighter sole grind. its all about feel and the type of swing you have which will determine what kind of bounce you want. Correct me if im wrong but most new golfers like to have a high bounce..? I had fun at a demo day trying out some wedges and realized the differences from person to person do make a big difference. my old sand wedge had a rounded sole and i didn't like hitting it from the fairway. just personal preference but once you try a few you will know what suits you best. adams makes a nice 3 wedge set that i think comes in 52, 56, and 60 for like $100? If i werent playing titleist id have clevelands in my bag. however mizuno, nike, taylormade all have nice wedges and the TM atv atually come with a bounce that 'changes' for each kind of shot you want to play so all you would need is to get the lofts that you want. -

Thanks for all the input guys, give a try next time I go out!

I hit the 18* at golfsmith one day and it was a harder hybrid to hit simply because of loft. I consider myself a decent/pretty good ball striker but that won't apply as much to a higher lofted hybrid. Other than that I thought feel was great, able to work the ball and had a good launch to it. I've always struggled getting anything under 20* high enough in the air other than my 3 wood.
-
This question was also for headwinds not being in the bushes haha forgot To mention that
-
Ive been told haha my Friends and even myself have no idea how I hit it so far. I don't even look like I'm trying to swing hard but it just is hard. Now I can step on it if I want to but rarely need to. My problem is the same as everyone's and that's just hitting the golf ball where I want to more often. And my putting sucks... :/

so i've learned to hit a pretty good knock down shot but im struggling figuring out which club to use for what distances. I usually hit my 6 iron a little over 200, when I want to run one in there and let it release on the green, what club should i use? should i club up or down? Im delofting it so my mind goes to club up.. using a 7 and its not just a 5 iron choked up. How do you guys determine what club to use for what distances? Also do you swing with the same swing speed or slow it down depending on which club you use?
