  1. To be honest I like scrambles but it obvious that you had a bad experience with that one and I have aswell. At my home course we play a scramble every Sunday at 6 but its fun because the same 15-16 guys show up every week and we are all pretty good friends with each other so it doesn't matter who I get paired with. I normaly don't care in any event if I get paired with someone else I know it bothers some people but not me so much. I voted for the cheating aspect only because I KNOW for a fact is some of the company scrambles I've played in I watched a team on the hole beside me pick up a putt that was at least 6 feet away and called it good. Just tit for tat I guess man you get good scrambles you get bad ones.
  2. Well of course it is a harder style ball so it isn't as soft as most balls but I personally like a harder ball. Also you can try Wilson Fg Tour X for more distance and control. I suggest trying them for a round and see if you like them not everyone likes a harder cover ball but I prefer them off the tee and around the green
  3. For sure just wanted opinions was all but yes I find it odd too it is marked with red stakes with no water which is why the question arose in the first place =P
  4. To be completly honest the balls that I have been hitting the best lately and I would go to over anything are the Pinnacle Golds and probably the one I would choose most is the Wilson Fg Tour X. I prefer harder golf balls but they aren't for everyone.
  5. For the past 2 days I went from a ProV1x and started hitting a Pinnacle Gold for the hell of it and I was getting 10 to 15 yards more from the gold than the ProV1x which I was suprised. I have a very fast swing speed and with the ProV1x I was hitting 290-300 with the Gold 310-315. Maybe try those? Much cheaper and if you are looking for more distance it definately helped for me. (straight shots too I might add haha)
  6. My uncle has a set thanks for the info I'll be sure to let him know to keep an eye on them
  7. And yes a Handicap Index of 2. I never score higher than a 79 on my home course. The question I asked may seem odd to you only because it is an arguement between me and another guy and I just wanted to confirm with other people that I was correct you can play as it lies passed those stakes because it is not indicated in the course rules that it is a 1 stroke penalty otherwise. Just a deal sealer was all the question was lol
  8. Ok thank you I was really looking into the cobra amps aswell I just need to hit them first.
  9. Ok sounds fair but there is no water to that side. Just the rest of the golf course
  10. Ok so on the par 4 number 10 tee of my home course there is a woods on the right marked with white stakes which I understand if the ball goes in it's stroke and distance. But the part that I am confused about are the Red stakes on the left. To the left of the number 10 hole is the rest of the course so you are still on the course. If you go passed the red stakes are you able to play the shot where it lies or are you supposed to drop from the closest point of relief on the other side of the stakes. Also the red stakes only go up so far and if you hit your drive lets say 250 and left you pass the end point of the stakes and everyone considers that playable because it is not marked that far out. I was just wanting to know if I hit a ball left and go to the left of the stakes must I take a one stroke penalty and drop or can I play the shot as it lies?
  11. Ive gotten many opinions on irons to buy based on my swing and from people who have seen me play and one suggestion I got is Adams Cb3s with a project x shaft. Which seems fine but I would like to get you guys opinion. I have a very fast swing speed as well as I hit all clubs really high and long. Hasn't been measured in awhile but I use xstiff shaft on my driver and hit 300+ if that helps any. I just want alot of your guys opinions based on what is provided. I play right now a set of irons called Tour Series and this will be my first upgrade to a good brand name iron set. Let me start off by posting the irons and what distances I hit them They are 3-sw with dynamic gold shafts keep in mind Driver Taylormade Tour Burner: 300+ 3 iron: 215-230 4: 205-215 5: 195-205 6: 180-195 7: 170-180 8: 160-170 9: 150-160 Pw: 130-150 Sw: 100+ Your guys opinions are appreciated thanks alot.
