  1. Yeah thats sounds ok, but still. I guess im more of a "its not where you get, its how you got there" kinda guy. I might be shooting myself in the foot with that. But im getting there slowly though. Still, i honestly have not seen a under 15 hcp with a dreadfull swing. I think that swing will always somehow also transcend into your short game and putting.
  2. Is the USA handicap system very different from EU? What sometimes amazes me here is that some people really have awful swing but still manage a 10 handicap, but i guess thats whats called a vanity handicap. But maybe short game really does help alot with that. Im a 16 myself, what you would consider high, and would consider my shortgame average. I have yet to see someone who has an under 15 handicap with a dreadfull swing.
  3. Doesnt it throw off your balance?
  4. Beachcomber, i'm gonna try that this weekend. Thanks alot for your advice. Really kind of you.
  5. Thanks for watching guys. Golfingdad, yeah i sometimes do that. I think i doesnt make any difference though, but your the first to notice that. I sometimes let my indexfinger grip a little looser, this is a little too much i think. Beachcomber, thank you for pointing that out. I might have an idea where that comes from. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v;=IZY6BdfeZu0#! When i first started using this, i started striking the ball really well, time after time. So i thought, well, thats my new swing. But i can see how this movement is not a good thing. Or maybe i didnt really understand the video :). I will def try to work on the centered pivot. I will try to upload a new video when i think its gotten better.
  6. Ow btw, i realise that im new here and have contributed anything really yet, so i understand if people dont want to put a whole lot of time into analysing my swing. A couple of tips or comments on what people notice is all i need. I guess ill tell a little about what i feel should help me get better. I think my swing with irons is pretty decent, i have some trouble with aiming, but the irons are not my main problem ofcourse. I know i can still improve on them though. I recently started putting more hips into my downswing and ive been striking the ball really nice because of that. Only problem is i hit em really really high. I guess i have to strike down more on the ball to get a more piercing ballflight but im having trouble to understand how to accomplish that. My two main concerns are my driver and my putting. Concerning the driver, Ive bought a new one with a stiff shaft, and it does feel a little better, but i still slice em big some times. I tried to close my clubface a bit by adjusting the grip. But there hasn been any consistency yet. I have an old video of me with my dad's driver, which i believe is not a good driver but i should be able to produce normal shots with it even if it is a senior shaft. Take a look. \ Anyway, i still need to work on my short game and putting more, but im doing that now and its going better and better. Thanks in advance for any comments or tips or observations.
  7. Hi all, just found out about this site, like it very much and wanted to see if people here could give me feedback on my swing. Thanks in advance. I will post a driver video later on. I've been Playing Golf for: Since i was like 10 or so, but i quit as soon as i went to high school. I recently started playing again (1 year now) and want to improve my game. My current handicap index or average score is: 16.9 My typical ball flight is: Straight shot. Or a slight fade. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: I slice my driver alot. Which costs me alot of points. Other then that i just want to get my shots more consistent, but before i get to that i want to have a swing that feels good enough that i dont need to work on it anymore. Ofcourse i would like to get a more drawy shot like the pro's and all that. My short game is very good i think, but putting still needs some work.
