  1. I have a problem that has come and gone over the years It has to do with my left hand wanting to get to much on top of the club (making it a strong grip causing me to hit hooks and sometimes even snap hooks.) I have to make a very conscious effort to make my grip feel uncomfortable before my left hand get down where it belongs. I was just wondering if anyone had a good way of going about getting my grip to line up were my left hand is not so Strong. Any advise is greatly appreciated. I have been working with my pro on it and when i take a lesson with him i can get it to go where it is suppose to be but then about 2-4 weeks later after the lesson it works it way back around to the top and then i start hooking th ball again. Thanks to anyone who has any advise for me.
  2. In my humble opinion, I see three things that jump out at me right away. First of try to keep you left foot on the ground watch Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and players like them, you will see they never lift that front foot off the ground. You are picking up that front foot to try in increase the back swing takeaway and I think it is causing you to loose you balance. You want to keep that foot planted so that when you come through and impact the ball you can post on that leg. The second thing I see is it look like you are taking the club a little bit out side right off the go. Try taking that club straight back this will help you be on the correct swing path then making contact with the golf ball. Last thing I see is that you are trying to force the issues when moving you hands at the top. In forcing the issue it looks like to me that is causes your hands to loop at top, causing you to swing on an outside-in swing path. You want to let your hands fall or drop from the top of your back swing. This will also help keep you shoulder square to the ball. When you let you shoulders come open you are bound to to one of two things hit a slice or hit a pull. Let me know if you have any questions. Once the Snow break here I will be posting some video of my swing.
  3. I just replaced all three of my Cleveland wedges with....well you guessed three more Cleveland Wedges. Black Pearl CG12 52* (Standard bounce with Project X shaft), 56* (Standard bounce with Project X shaft) & 58* (low bounce with Project X shaft). I am yet to get to hit them because here in Ohio we are currently getting dumped on by 8-12" of snow (makes it kinda hard to practice). I have been practicing with them in my basement and they seem to have great feel and constancy. I can't wait for the snow to clear and for golf season to begin.
  4. A crack in a drivers head is not a good thing. It can reduce the trampoline effect that the club has on the golf during impact robbing you of distance. It just like if you manage to cave a head in (in essence you have started to sink the clubs ability to produce trampoline effect). I would consider call the manufacture and explaining your situation, you may be surprised they might work with you. Taylor Made is really good about that kind of stuff.
  5. It all depends on the conditions of the course I am playing but for the most part I play either a Callaway HX TOUR 56 or Titleist Pro-V 1X or Titleist Pro-V 1. They have great feel around the greens, and stick and suck back on the green well. I am not terribly worried about distance off the tee so I try to play one of the softer balls.
  6. R7 425CC (I love this Diver, best driver I have ever owned). If you can find one, I highly recommend it.) Before I bought this diver I was so not a Taylor Made fan but this club definitely changed my mind. I know this club is two years old, but i haven't found anything else that I am more comfortable standing over on the tee and results speak for themselves.
  7. I love the Golf Pride New Decade Multi-cord Grips. Here is a link to them on Golf Prides Web Site: http:///www.golfpride.com/grips/cord/mc_nd.aspx They work great for me, they do take just a little getting used to them. If you have real soft and tender hands, then these grips are not for you. Good luck finding the right grip for you. The right grip can go along way and helping your golf game. I say this because the the more comfortable you are in you grip the more confident and assured you are at the start of you golf swing. From the start of you golf swing on is another story. Good Luck.
  8. I sold them to a guy in TN i think he was a manager of a BW3's. I am a pretty decent golfer but I don't play enough to hit the MP-67 like I would want or expect myself to. They are a very nice club but for someone who plays very often and has lots of time to fine tune their swing. If I get to ply twice or three times a week I am lucky.
  9. I sold a set of MP-67 on Ebay about half a year ago. Everything went very smooth and was happy with what I got for them. I highly recomend using Ebay, only bad thing is they will nickle and dime you with the number of picture you post. 10. GRI, If your on the green you are most likely using the club that is in your hand on every single hole, unless you chip in, hole out from the fairway or by some miracle, hole out from the tee (aka: hole in one, I don't have one of them yet and have been golfing to 10 years) What's In my bag: Driver: TaylorMade R7 425CC with 65 REAX (Co-designed by Fujikura) Mid Tip Stiff Flex 3-wood: Admas Tight Lies Tour Model 15* with Proforce V2 stiff flex Made by UST Irons: Mizzuno GRADS MP (3-PW) S300 shafts (soon to be Project X Rifle shafts) Wedges: 52 (standard bounce), 56* (standard bounce) & 58* (low bounce) CG12 black pearl Putter: 34" Odyssey White Steel 2 Ball SRT Putter
  11. I very very rarely leave the pin in. I feel I should be confident enough in my chipping abilty that I shouldn't need a backstop which usually keeps you from making chips instead of helping slow your out of controll ship shot down. Most of the time the pin just gets in the way when chipping from green side. There re two expcetions to when i don't take the pin out: I do leave the pin in when hitting from green side bunkers and I leave the pin in when I have a terrible lie in the rough.
