  1. I don't see her being lucky in that photo, even if she didn't loose an eye. But dang, that's rough, very rough.
  2. watch out for the crocks and roos... Have fun on the down under courses! I think it's summer there now, right? Or isn't it always summer there? Doug
  3. I always liked Overlapped best. Interlocked never felt right to me. I would not consider a baseball grip. To disjointed. The hands need to be tied together.
  4. If Jasper Parnavick could wear what he wore golfing, I say big deal about cargo shorts. I have some that the pocket can barely even be seen on. However, I really like my Polo ones that have big ole pockets, they are handy for tees and balls. Probably don't look the best, true. But they are functional! But to ask a man to come back to the clubhouse at the 12th hole, that is rediculous. They either tell him in the pro shop before he tees off, or they tell him at the end of the round and say "next time", no cargos. This was handled all wrong no matter who it was.
  5. I am a professional putt putt player. It's a tough racket. I am kidding! Computer Programming. .NET apps. I manage one system primarily for a major University. But I am sure some more stuff is coming my way. I'm the most under promoted underpaid son of a gun you can imagine after 23 years. Locked in is a good word for it. sigh...
  6. Hey, I thought all of Mississippi was south. ;) Welcome, of course, who am I to welcome you but a newb here. lol.
  7. LOL Big Daddy. Of course you do. Erik, as soon as I have hit the club a couple of times, I can post something on it. I will. Right now, all I have is hitting booth time. Thanks. Doug
  8. Check out my Titleist Av I did today. I am D2Doug at another forum or two, so even though I just got a D3, stayed with D2Doug how's the Av look?
  9. It's not difficult to find if you know w here to find it. lol. I didn't and I looked. Pitty, I can't list a great deal in a new R11s, I decided against keeping it. thanks for the tips.
  10. I have the Ecco shoes with nobby like sole, and they are very comfortable, and are a stable platform as well. I have rarely if ever slipped during a swing. I bought them last spring, Really, if you have foot problems, you owe it to yourself to try the Ecco. No shoe I have ever tried has more support them Ecco except for Mephisto, and Mephisto are pricey for golf or street! Though I own both in street. Ecco and FJ in golf.
  11. Any good durable cover ball is ok for starting out, whatever you can get at a good value. Find a few balls playing, get the feel for them that way too. I have also had good results buying from a used golf ball place online. Saves you money, on something you have a good chance of loosing or cart pathing anyway! Bridgestone does make a fine product, even their lower end balls. true.
  12. Funny question. I just had to track my ball at the edge of a small range from the first tee. It was a real b... down a nasty hill too, I was afraid to take the cart. But I found my ball! Otherwise, it could have been in someone's bucket, or the "baggers pocket" lol.
  13. Any other Knoxville folks here?
  14. I guess the question is how do I move from registered member to "established member"...? So far, I have not found that rule.
  15. I traded in some 2010-2011 clubs paid some boot and scored a new Titleist D3 yesterday. Yeah, I could have sold them for more probably, but it was easier. I hope I chose the right stick and the D2 wasn't the right stick. I was fitted at Edwin Watts in the booth. the launch angle was better for me with the D3. Both clubs felt great. I still have a 910 D2 head as well, so I can go back if need be or merge them to a 913 D2 if I chose wrong. I am reading all I can on the D2 vs D3 before I put it on the turf. Just in case I need to go back to the 913 D2 before I hit it. The slightly higher profile head is a positive for players that keep hits off "heel and toe" pretty well I think, in other words you keep in the sweet spot zone. The D3 while not as wide as a D2, does have more vertical hitting area. So if you tee it up a little high or a little low, it could be the better stick and if you want to be able to work the ball more, and not have a draw bias.. The key is confidence. whatever driver you put in your hand should add confidence. We all need it when standing up at that pretty tight fairway where we need driver! Doug
