  1. I am currently retired and living in South Asia, I was a principal of a school. My Ph.D. and Doctorate in Educational Tehnology and Curriculum. Basically all I do now is play golf.
  2. I have just recently purchased a Ping belly putter and the head was made in China and I find no problems with it . However, I purchased some irons from China and that was the biggest mistake in my golfing career. I am an American living in Southeast Asia and most of the clubs look exactly like the real ones, however, they are copies and when I received my set of Pings from China I was actually sick! Everything in the world was wrong with them so please do not buy anything relating to golf directly from China . If you're going to purchase a set of clubs or balls, do it in the USA or a reputable country and not directly from China. The shafts were made in Bangladesh and they said they were project X5 .5, the heads made in China, and I have no idea where the grips came from and the rubber from the grips were coming off in my hand. The Pro V1 I purchased were non-responsive as the true Pro V1. The sales department told me they were true Pings so I say BEWARE
  3. Once again clone clubs are totally different than copies made in China . Most of the clubs made in South East Asia are copies and look exactly like the real clubs. Unfortunately I purchased a set from China and I was totally misinformed by the sales department. They told me that they were real clubs but after close examination the font was in the wrong place and too large, the swing weights were totally off, the grips were designed for Asians, and were the worst clubs I have ever played with and I used to be a scratch golfer. My handicap now is a 6. I had to replace each and every club and shafts, including a driver and 3 wood. The balls were also copies, not true Pro V1. Please do not purchase anything directly from China!
  4. I'm new at this and have just joined today . I am an American living in South East Asia so therefore I understand clone clubs. Clone clubs and copies are totally a different situation. I ordered a set of Ping Anser, a Scotty Cameron putter, and a Ping driver and three wood directly from China. Everything in the world was wrong with them, they shaft was made in Bangladesh and the head was made in China and they went as far to say they were assembled in the USA. They were the most inferior clubs I have ever purchased in my life and had to change each and every club. The golf balls that they sell are once again copies and do not react like a true pro V1. I guess you can say I have first hand experience at Chinese made clubs. Clones are not bad clubs depending on the specs. Copies I would strongly recommend staying away from them. To answer some of the questions of the previous people I ordered a Ping belly putter from the USA and the head was made in China . Additional grips that I have purchased through golf Smith were made in Taiwan. I have had no problems with the putter nor the grips.
