  1. a few suggestions until you feel comfortable putting would include reading golf magazines which often have tips on putting, going to stores such as Galaxy, the Sports Authority or Golfsmith where they have an indoor putting green and plenty of putters all around it. Pick one and try it. I sometimes spend 30 minutes to an hour trying putters and practicing putting. While there I also observe other golfers putting to look at the way they hold the putter, their stroke and their stance. Good luck to you. Weekend Pro
  2. I don't know if I can paste a picture here but you can see several pictures of the putter at www.railgun.com . Thanks for asking. Weekend Pro
  3. I find that I can draw or fade the ball by the placement of my feet. If I want to draw, I take my normal stance, then pull back my right foot about 6 inches. If I want to fade, I take my normal stance, then move my right foot forward about 6 to 8 inches. I also take a different trajectory on the pull back of the club. For the draw, the pull back is like a door opening, for the fade, the club is taken back and forward like to about 2 o'clock if you get my meaning, then I swing similar to taking a sand shot. this puts clockwise spin on the ball and it fades. good luck. 4. Dr Fu, You said you were an arc putter but you did not mention the type of putter you are using. Is it blade or mallet or frame? If you want to improve your feel, you must use a putter that provides feedback and you must use a putter that was designed for the particular stroke you are using. see http://www.naplesnews.com/news/2009/...different-str/ to insure you are using the correct putter for your arc swing. 5. Hi, this is the Weekend Pro and I make a USGA compliant golf putter. Recent changes at USGA require the club maker to submit a form which you can get from their website, pay a fee and submit 2 putters for testing. They will review and send you a ruling.
  6. I shot an 84 at Balcones Country Clug with 3 birdies and two double bogies. My handicap dropped to 16. WeekendPro
  7. Today, I shot a 91 at Balcones Country Club, Austin. The weather was marvelous. I am so thankful I changed by golf swing to lever power golf about 3 years ago. I hear so many laments about back strain, which thankfully I never get, because my swing is all arms. There is very little twisting. If you want to find out about it look up kuykendallgolf.com WeekendPro
  8. Hi Matt, I beg to disagree with you on the need for loft in a putter. In the old days the putter was known as the flat stick because unlike the other irons, it had no loft. Lifting the ball with the loft is what causes the ball to skip up before assuming its forward roll. This is what is sometime avoided by golfers moving their hands forward of the putter head when addressing a put. They are unknowingly trying to eliminate the loft and bringing the head to vertical zero loft. If you were putting from off the green, I would agree with you that the loft was advantageous, however once on the green, if you have marked your ball and then replace it before putting, it should not be down in the grass. Try a zero loft putter and see if you don't get better results than your lofty putter. Happy putting. Weekend Pro
