  1. Thanks for the replies. What do you guys think of TM burner compared to G10 or Big Bertha other good drivers on the market. Is it forgiving enough for my level.
  2. Hi I am relatively new to Golf and hit 30-40 over. So, far I have only been using irons and hybrids(both Ping G10s) to play. I want to start practicing with the Driver now, but I dont know which one to go for at this stage. I am looking at something that is forgiving and goes a good distance(atleast 250 yds) So far, I have only looked at some ratings on various Golf equipment review websites, but I am not sure which one to go for. The high rated products include - Callaway FT, Callaway X 460, TM Burner, Ping G10, Cobra Speed, Cleveland Hibore. I will defintiely go out and try hitting with a few, to find what I am comfortable with. But sometimes, it is hard to differentiate with a few hits, given that I am just a beginner. I want to narrow down my list to a couple of drivers before I go to a store and choose between them. Thanks.
  3. Thanks for your replies people. I really appreciate the suggestions.
  4. Thanks guys for all your suggestions. I really appreciate your feedback. I am going wth X-20s... really excited about it.
  5. I started this great game last year, ended up playing almost once a week. My swing has got pretty consistent now and I am hoping to improve a lot this season and break the 100 barrier. I am looking to buy something good that can last me a few years. After a lot of research and trying out clubs at local golf store, I shortlisted Callaway Big Bertha and Ping G10. I also tried hitting a few shots with Callaway X-20 and felt really good and confident. I got really inclined towards these, until the person at golf store told me that these are probably not for someone who started playing last year. I could feel very little difference between these 3 in the store, but I understand that BigBertha and G10 far more forgiving than X-20. Please advice what you think is more appropriate at this stage for me. Could X-20s less forgiveness hamper my game or will it help me learn faster "the perfect shot" on the sweet spot. If not X20, which one out of Big Bertha or G10 do you recommend?

  7. I was wondering, which wedge is most appropriate for 20-30 yard shot, or a shot just outside the green which cant be hit with a putter. I sometimes find it hard to stop the ball to roll from there.
  8. Thanks a lot for your suggestions guys. I will lookout for a good deal on Ping G10, TM R7 and Callaway. Just 1 more question, I was looking at the Callaway pre-owned website, and they seemed to have a lot of variety there. If I decide to go with Callaway do you recommend going for Big Berthas or X18/20. I tried them out both, and felt comfortable with both. For those of you who did not read my earlier post, I usually hit 30-37 over.
  9. Hi, I started playing golf last season and got addicted to it. My swing has got pretty consistent over last year and I am looking to buy a good golf set now. I usually hit 30-37 over which I am really looking to improve on this season. I have tried a few clubs at a golf store near me and I feel very comfortable with Ping G10, Callaway BB, TaylorMade R7 and Callaway X 20 . One club that I didnt like the feel of was Nike Slingshot. At this stage I am a little confused about which ones to go for. I could not differentiate much between the above 4. Any suggestions?? I know a lot of people will suggest going for something cheaper at this stage, but I would like to get a good set which I can use for next 5 year atleast. Thanks for your replies.

  11. Can someone suggest a credible website which gives good reviews or compare clubs like PING G10, Callaway Big Bertha, Callaway X20, TaylorMade R7... which one would suit better for high handicap player?
  12. I havent played golf that much, so my views aren't that biased towards a brand...... just from the looks... Callaway X-20s, Mizuno, Titleist looks good.
