  1. Well I bought the DD2 in yellow to match my ProForce shaft. I went to Golfsmith and checked out every shaft, and that one seemed nice. Its soft and firm at the same time, has just enough tack, wont tear up my glove, and looks good :) Im having a friend put it on today and Ill test it saturday. If its nice enough I might put it on my irons because I have new decades and they tear up my glove. Also, how are the Lamkin Crosslines?
  2. I think Im sticking with Golf Pride but I still want a change. I dont really like tour wraps but how about the DD2 Ribbed Grips? The yellow color will match the new shaft I just had put in theres no cord to ruin my glove Anyone have these?
  3. Im going to golfsmith later to get a new grip for my driver, and Im unsure of what to get. I LOVE my red new decades, but I think the cord rubs away my glove too much so I want to try something else. I used to play winn grips 2 years ago which felt nice, but they wore down too quickly and started to become slippery. I know they have plenty new models out now but I have yet to try any of them. One thing that looks interesting is the half cord winn grips. What grip will last me long without ruining gloves and has a good feel?
  4. IMO, the zero friction tees dont give me anymore distance than with a wooden tee. They do last long, but heres a tip if you like regular wooden tees and dont feel like paying for more: When teeing up, push the tee in deeper into the ground than you would for your club, but then pull it back up to the right length. This way the ground around the tee will be softer and more loose, so the tee has a better chance of popping in the air than snapping in half. Works for me.
  5. I love a good BJ as well. Im sorry I had too One thing that might help you adjust to getting a hybrid to replace an iron, get a steel shaft. Its really fun when you pure a shot with a steel shafted hybrid because that thing will fly.
  6. Whoaa thats pretty cool. I bet I could make one of those out of a wire hanger
  7. That glove looks really nice as well. One thing I always loved about the Titleist glove is that you can get it in all white which looks very nice.
  8. lol I noticed that too. Once I played with both on during dry weather and I was hitting everything pure. For some reason the way the gloves made my grip move had me making perfect contact and a smooth swing. Especially with my driver.
  9. I had a callaway glove once. It lasted long but I hated the feel. Might as well wear a winter glove. I'll try the Weather Soft and the StaSof when I golf next and see the difference.
  10. I used to play a Stasof but I cant remember if the durability of them. I also have the golf pride new decade grips so the cord kind of rubs on them and wears them out even more . I started using an old glove for just the range too, that might help. Ill check out the weather soft and see how it feels before I buy. Thanks
  11. I need a new glove. Before I go out and spend $10-$20 on a new one, I want to know what the longest lasting one is that you guys have used. I have a FJ Sciflex right now, and it does not last at all. After a few rounds with it I could already see the the glove peeling at the bottom right part of my palm, and on my thumb. I have a light grip too. I take it off after almost every shot and leave it off for chipping and putting. When Im done with my round it hangs in the air on my bag. Every time it just gets significantly crustier after a round. What glove can I get for a decent price in most pro shops that will last me long and can give good feel?
  12. Try some Gold Bond cooling powder. That stuff is magical. Using cold water and constantly wiping your hands may feel good and work at the time, but wont last long. Wipe down your hands or wet them with cold water, but dry them after and rub some Gold Bond into your hands or forearms, whatever is sweating. It'll keep your skin cool and dry and may even give you a good grip on the club.
  13. The one on this driver only says the things in the pictures I posted. Proforce 65 Gold Low Torque - S. Flex: Near the grip ==Tip Stiff==: Near the head Same thing goes for my fairwoods with UST shafts.
  14. I did that before I posted this bulletin and got the same answer as you. Im not being lazy, Im just curious as they are decently popular shafts and I wanted to see if the shaft that came with that driver was a specific size and not multiple answers.
  15. It seems kind of sad that you want to quit after having a bad week in golf. Thats the whole point of the sport is to just keep improving no matter if you get in a slump or downfall. Sometimes Ill go out, shoot a 38 on the front 9 and a 50 on the back 9. You just have to keep pushing and make yourself get better. Like champ said, take a break. Get things off your mind for a few days, then try again. If the same thing happens, evaluate your swing instead of getting down on yourself for playing bad. Don't ever quit!
  16. If you're teeing off, you should park your cart on the cart path close to the side that the tee box is on, but still completely on the path. Regardless if you're on the rough and not on the actually teeing area, its a common courtesy to everyone and the course itself. And by the way you said how the course is in bad condition, it still matters how you treat it. If one person makes an effort to keep a course nice then others follow along and can change a course. Imagine if you fixed your ball mark on the green and another everytime you played? The greens would start looking a lot better. Next time listen to the people running the course, you're a guest on their property. Treat it well.
  17. I'd like to get a shaft from a driver that I have now, a TF 360 Series, put into a Ping G2 that the shaft was snapped off from. I know the tip diameter of the G2 stock shaft is .350, but I dont know the tip diameter of the other driver. The shaft on the TF is a UST Proforce 65 Gold Stiff. If someone knows can you please help me out? Here are some photos:
  18. If you ever hit a tee shot on a hole where the sun is facing directly at you, walk past the area where you think the ball came down at. Then turn around so the sun is at your back and your facing the tee box. It makes it ten times easier to find your shot because everything on the fairway illuminates while you're vision stays normal
  19. I dont think they made irons like that but the only old irons I have in the garage is a set of Jack Nicklaus blade irons. I was chipping in my backyard and it felt amazing. The ball just pounced off the face with good feel and the ball had the best trajectory for a sand wedge. The Ping driver is really light and in decent shape so I can feel some crazy drives coming tomorrow....
  20. Well my friend and I were talking about how cool it would be if pros started using wooden drivers/woods or just whatever old club they want and how it could even become a cheaper style instead of getting the newest and best clubs out there. I went scavaging through my garage and found some of my dads old clubs to try them out. I found a wooden Ping Karsten III driver in good shape, a bristol steelwood driver, and a Sand Iron with these weird dot grooves. Im trying out the drivers tomorrow, but Im curious... Is the wedge illegal and how well do the dots work compared to regular cut grooves?
  21. Stand further away from the ball at address. Shanking the ball either comes from rediculously hitting the ball off the toe which is pretty hard to do, and you would know it, or hitting the ball off of the hosel. Stand further away so the ball hits purely off of the face, and move your weight slightly on your heels. Remember to keep your grip light to, and you should be good.
  22. Yeah but thats not really what Im looking for. I dont have $145 to spend on touching up my putter, especially when all I really want to do is shine it up and fill in the lettering. I'm sure they do a great job but I would probably rather buy a new putter before I spend $150+ on renewing my current one which plays fine.
  23. Is there anyway that I could buff up my Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum Newport 2 without doing any damage, and is there a way that I could fill in some of the decal with a white paint that was once there, and what could I use? Here are some pics: Sorry for the quality, my phone is all I can use.
  24. Thanks for the help everyone but I fixed it. I was pulling my right elbow in on my backswing and would turn the clubface right away. Now I make sure its right on line when I come back and I even gained some distance compared to before.
