  2. I would definitely say pick 1 ball and stick to it. Definitely don't carry an assortment of balls you find in the rough. You'll shoot better scores by player the same ball every shot and knowing exactly how it is going to react. I've just bought a dozen of the new Callaway Hex Hot Pro ball. Really looking forward to testing it out in a proper round.
  3. I've had an 18* 5 Wood but am in the process of testing different 2013 Hybrids to switch too. I use a 21* iron so need the Hybrid to give me a better option out of the rough. Also I find it much easier to hit straight compared to the 5 Wood.
  4. Depends on the loft of you 4 iron. If your 3 wood and 4i are 15* and 24* you could add 18* and 21* Hybrids or similar. However, if you're like me and have a 21* 4iron you're going to find it difficult to fit in 2 clubs without swapping clubs out. Personally I'm going for an 18/19* Hybrid and a 60* lob wedge. I find it serves a specific purpose when I'm close to the green and have a bunker I want to get up and stop quickly in less than 35 yards
  5. I just got the Callaway Octane Diablo 3 Wood (15 degrees) which I think is amazing. Really Forgiving, great power and distance, easy to hit off the tee and as far as 3 woods go I find it easy to hit off the fairway. I've got good distance though so can easily get it up in the air. If your swing speed is more moderate you might benefit from a 15.5 or 16 degree. Club head size is probably bigger than some but I'd definitely recommend it based on your other requirements.
  6. I'm looking for an 18*/19* hybrid to finish my set and have narrowed it down to the following 2013 models: Callaway X Hot Titleist 913H Ping G25 Ping Anser Adams Idea Tech V4 Cleveland Classic Has anyone tried/got these and have any thought? I'm a mid-handicaper who can hit reasonably far so will be looking to hit about 215 yards with the club. My golf pro is able to loan me demo versions of some of them so should be able to test at least the Callaway, Titleist and G25. Already got the demo Titelist 913H which I think is great but interested to see how it compared to the X Hot which is 20 quid less.
