  1. Thats right, mine has a weighted butt. I will never go back to bending over. Ever see a 7'2' guy putt with a 35" flat stick - does not work. 14-1b will prohibit anchoring against the body (belly or sternum) or forearm. Many people that use a long putter do not rest the butt against the chest - I hold it in my fist 6" away from my sternum with my left elbow held firmly at my side. My father sweeps from his side. 14-1b aims at the greater numbers that stick the butt of the putter in the navel area which takes the leading hand out of the stroke. I would like to see the statistical evaluation the USGA and R&A; used to determine these putting styles gave an advantage. I know one was not done when they banned Sam Snead from croquet putting. A knee-jerk reaction IMO I'm with Big Easy on this one, you blew it once again USGA.
  2. I have a B3-M in a long putter- 6' length. I love it and it replaced a Ping B60.
  3. Just saw this one, I own a complete set 1-LOB - yes all 6 wedges. There is no better feeling than hitting the 1 Iron on the sweet spot. I also have the B60 BeCu Putter but have gone to a long putter from Heavy. The ISI irons don't get much respect. If I could have I would have chosen the Eye 2 in BeCu, I may go that way if my 2013 experiment with Mizuno MP60 set goes south. You must get these to your dot spec since they can not be bent. If you are interested I might be convinced to part with my complete set ( and my complete set of Eye2 woods 1-7) Good luck with your searching.
  4. I'll give a bit of perspective to this discussion. I'm 7' 2" +3 shafts and 5* upright ball in middle of stance on normal lies. The taller you are the more error is inherent to your swing arc and especially when it comes to your head movement so your balance is crucial. I hit my 6 iron 190 and if I need to drive 300+. On most courses that is usually some sort of hazard on a par 5 or bunker/creek on par 4's so I will hit a 5 wood lay-up and wedge to most greens. I have a very upright swing arc around my ears and no problem getting the ball up in the air. I play the stiffest shafts in all my clubs otherwise the clubhead lags too far behind my hands on impact.
