  2. My close friend got instruction at nighthawk as well and his game improved drastically in under a year, nighthawk instructors are highly recommended in the Crofton area
  3. Last week I was killing it, hitting long and straight every shot, today I couldn't hit a thing. What gives? Is it normal to have this drastic of an up and down when you're a new golfer?
  4. playing 9 holes alone is a great way to fine tune your game and a great way to relax. no better feeling then cutting out early and going to walk 9 holes while everyone else is at work or in class for me since i am in college
  5. I have to agree in saying that king made a rediculous comment saying tiger has influenced a decline in golf. In actuality the most common limiting factor of involvement is commitment to the game. Most people who decide to pick up the game often times their interest fizzles when they realize it take putting in a few days a week at the range before you even step on a course. So to say that tiger influences that negatively is just not true.
  6. That sounds like true dedication there.
  7. As relatively new myself, I have just now become able to hit a straight drive consistently. The only piece of valid information I have to contribute is to slow down his back swing. Better yet take him to the local pro, they usually give price break for a pack of lessons.
  8. redskins fan here.... any one at safety coming out can play better than doughty right out of college
  9. Just grabbed a box of the E6's yesterday and practiced around the chipping green today. Didn't feel bad to me but what do I know, i'm pretty new to this stuff but I must say it felt a lot better than a few nike balls I tried
  10. I'm just wondering what everyones season goals are as another season gets underway and what you are doing to get to that goal? As for me my plan is to break 100 for the first time and I am putting in 2-3 days a week at the range and playing every opportunity I get. so what are you guy's doing?
  11. Hey guys, brand new to the sand trap and was looking for some basic advice. To fill you all in I've dabbled in playing golf for about two years now but never took it very seriously. Until this Christmas I had been playing with a borrowed set of tommy armour irons. I had always wanted to take the game more seriously so I treated myself to a set of taylormade burner plus for Christmas. As a I am a college student I don't have much money to be spending on expensive lesson series and I feel as though I hit all of my irons pretty well especially with the new set. My biggest issue is not being able to swing my driver. I am at a loss for why I either skull it or slice it and I can never seem to achieve a full swing. So my question is would a lesson on driver swing be the best way to alleviate this issue?
