    Iron roll out

I hit a 7 at a pin 168 yards away normal weather conditions it was a nice shot with minor draw. It landed right near the flag stick but the ball rolled about 15 feet past maybe 20 maybe less poor judge of distance. ( I know my carry because I layered the flag) Should I be happy with this or should a 7 stop a lot quicker. My 9-lob wedge stop within 3 feet of landing. 8 starts o roll some than the 7-6-5 roll out like described above Are these clubs that should stop or is that roll normal. Thanks love this site
  5. Not to hijack a thread but.... I play the 800 pros got fitted for them and ended up with 2*up which I really like. I had the opportunity to buy mp53 2* down for165$ used. I took both sets to the range and found myself more accurate with mp53. I did not expect this, being they are harder clubs to hit. I guess what I'm asking is if I have a consistent swing is the mp going to be more predictable over the Jpx and thats why i found them more accurate. The mp had a better flight a consistent distance and checked immediately on the green. Is their truth to y assumption.
  6. I have a mostly predictable ball flight it starts with a low boring launch rises some with about a 10 yard draw and then checks up on the green. A few people I played with the other day commented on it. Not so mucht negatively but it seemed mixed. It's not so low like a thinned shot, its solid impact it just doesn't ballon, it more like strong and low, rises a bit into a draw and then drops out of air. Should I work on getting it higher or stay with whaT I got. 9-10 hc depending on the week more than 50% gir from 150 and in. To give idea of my game. Distance is 158 yrd avg 8 iron
  7. Yea no kiddin. They should have aired it live during the regular scheduled time
  8. CBS is ruined a great afternoon. Of televised golf by not playing this live. Very disappointed.
  9. 3 shots ob a round. Do you re tee or drop laterally to count your score?
  10. On topic I have a friend 22 handicap. You would never think it on driving range he smacks the ball with a larg draw/push hook. Hits his 3 wood 250 easily. Can't hit the drive due to too much hook. His draw does not translate to accuracy he shoots about 98-102 every time but he smacks the shit out of his 3 wood consistly. Even though I am skeptical of all the claims of 300 yards I have to acknowledge I know a 20 who hits the ball long and straight.
  11. I definitely feel a better push off my right foot with soft spikes but I love my spike less eccos so much I don't mind the loss. I still gcan get my drive >250. Driver and 3wood are only clubs i can even notice anything different. Spineless also feel closer to the ground which is supposed to be good.
  12. I would like to hear savosean comment on his "always inside 10" comment after hearing what the tour average is; would you like to reevaluate Savosean what does someone's pen**. Have to do with anything. Why are you even thinking about shorty's "shorty"??!!!!!!

    Advanced irons

WUtiger- I have a consistent swing (around center club face), my miss; when it occurs is on the toe. usually from fatigue i put more into it with my arms than body. I am not asking what I should do, what I should buy etc. I just want to know if anyone has made an upgrade to a more accurate club and did it have a positive or negative effect on their game, were you happy with the switch. Answers of that nature.

To shorty. I am not worried thoughts about what I'm playing from others. Just asking if anyone has had similar experiences. Example I used to play the Callaway diablo. They felt like tennis rackets and a good 8 iron would sometimes explode off the face like165-170 after roll. Normal is 150. +/- I upgraded to jpxpro. And got so much more consistency. The smaller face forced me to become more precise, wasn't as much room to miss. I'm now at point where I feel I am hitting sweet spot more often than not. But....Sometimes I'm not sure if I hitting close to center or if the club is masking my miss. I also put a swing that should result in cut or draw and it stays mainly straight I wonder if this is too forgiving club or I'm just missing my intention. Want to hear others experiences when switching to a more precise tool. Positive or negative results. Btw I don't consider the mp59 a blade. It is still a cavity and described to have forgiveness (i know i have to hit them before anything) II love the look of the Of the mp64. However that club looks like it would turn golf into work. I appreciate all the feedback.

not encourage a lazy swing, but on some short iron shots and easy shots I almost go through the motion knowing the large club head will compensate for my lack of focus.

I am 11 handicap. Have a consistent swing tens hit toe shots on my miss. Currently play the Jpx pro. I feel like the head is too big and encourages lazy swings due to the ease of hitting. Would a switch to mp59 encourage a more focused and precise swing or am I reaching a little trying to play an iron that precise.
  17. "anal retentive" doesn't even make sense. If you just start referring to the tees as forward tees instead of ladies tees, they will no longer have tees to use. example "This course does not have ladies tees. Sorry."
  18. Am I being considered the PC?

    Under handicap

Thanks! my friend I played with was more excited then I than I was. I showed up to softball tonight and everyone already knew. Well I posted it. Now trending to 11.2 hc. This might cost me money. I Better be able to repeat. :~(

I am a 12.7 shot a 72 yesterday on a slope 123 par 72 course. Will this lower my hc an unfair amount if it's posted. I don't want to sandbag but feel this score was a miracle.
  21. They are no longer "ladies tees". They are forward tees. #whilewereyoung. #teeit forward. In the chart the usga put together you should not play over 6000. Yards if you don't drive over 250
  22. Spyder is that picture you? Clubs are righty, glove on right hand. ?
  23. And your playing partners who see your freakish putts and agree that they don't believe it, just say it to keep it moving. What other choice do they have, what are they going to disagree with you on every hole, every putt, every round. Everyone has had those days where they "burn every edge". It's like me saying when I watch the nba I see shots hit the rim and go in but when I shoot I hit the rim and it bounces out. Lol. You even compared your putts to the pro's putts on TV in one of your posts. sorry to pile on and I'm sure your a nice intelligent person but your making yourself sound like a moron.
  24. Rusty the last part of your post is great. I overheard a few people the other day saying they practice from the front tees but still use their drivers and all just to work on scoring more. They said it translates greatly when your playing from the backs. BTW the 136 is only playing at 6400.
  25. Than you David
