  1. Congrats, good for you man. Makes me want to go out and play!
  2. I just tried a few shots in my back yard doing this. This seemed to straighten me out, thanks! Now I'll have to go to range today and repeat this shot. :D
  3. Okay, so, when I use a driver off the tee, I hit a pretty consistent fade. On a standard tee shot, I just aim down the left side of the fairway and usually hit the ball 200-220 in the center and sometimes left side of the fairway. It's actually quite pleasant on dogleg holes going left to right and no problem on straight holes, but I have a hard time with holes that go from right to left. I was wondering if there's any tips to reverse this to hit the ball straight and possibly draw it a little? I just need something to work with on right to left holes, as I'm currently comfortable with my slight left to right ball flight and it's consistency on the other ones. Thanks
  4. A few months ago I got four pars and a bogey in the final five holes to break 100 for the first time. Funny how my stretch was five holes as well.
  5. I'd like to get a new one soon because I feel that my current one is inferior to drivers made in the last few years.
  6. Well, my slice/power-fade is predictable enough to aim far enough left to be in the fairway. I'm going to try and swing something with a stiffer shaft. If I still have the problem, I'll talk to a golf pro.
  7. Lately, I've been slicing my driver on most swings. On my woods it's more of a power-fade, and on my long irons it's just a slight fade. On my short irons and wedges I have a straight ball flight. I had a lesson about a month ago and he looked at my swing and told me that I was consistently on-plane. My ball flight with my driver has gone through patterns since I starting seriously golfing in April. It started with a slice. Afterwards it started going the other way going to a fade, then straight, then a draw, then hooking pretty bad and the last two months it has started going the opposite direction to a draw, straight, fade, power fade, and now I'm slicing again. My theory is that since April my swing speed has gradually increased and I am "outgrowing" the regular flex shafts. Lately with my driver my clubhead seems like it is "lagging" further behind my hands than it used to which I think means that the shaft I use is too soft of a flex. Should I consider trying something with a stiffer shaft?
  8. The Big Berthas would probably fit your current game the best as they are more forgiving than the X-16s. The X-16s are slightly less forgiving but they'll be the better club for you in the long run as your handicap lowers. I don't think you can make a bad decision purchasing either set.
  9. I got a Warbird Hot bag recently. It's dividers and pockets are really convenient and the bag itself is fun to look at.
  10. As far as a driver goes, I recently bought the Nickent 3DX Square. I haven't really used any big name drivers before but I really hit the Nickent driver much better than the junk I was using before. Not to mention it's inexpensive at $100 brand new.
  11. I use the Nickent 3DX Square Driver. I love the way it looks for a square driver.
