  2. It comes in both color combinations. I have the white and orange in X flex and the black in a stiff.
  3. Ya I've googled and googled and googled, I've found plenty of similar models. But nothing exact. I figured I was just ask and see if anyone knew anything on here. Thanks though.
  4. Ya tried google and nothing came up. I looked on ironfinder.com and a few others but nothing matches.
  5. I've found a few clubs similar but none with this diamond cut on the back. I know it's from the 60's but that's about it. Any info would be great. I don't care about price, I'm gonna clean up the set and save them, they were my grandfathers clubs.[IMG] [/IMG]
  6. Do you have an archive for Arnold Palmer sets also?
  7. For average and slower swing speeds it's works great. It's a different feel and sound than titanium but all in all it's a good cheap driver.
  8. OK because I really don't feel like playing this game anymore I wont get into that fact that weight placement on that flat piece of iron can affect ball flight not just the direction of that iron, I will retract my previous statement and let you think what you will.
  9. If that were even remotely true than all irons would be the same and there would be no difference between blades and GI irons.
  10. Quote: GI irons are no more difficult to "shape" when hit on the sweet spot Well now you are just going against yourself, was it not you who just posted this? Is it really that hard to not try and assume you know more than someone else? Especially when I came on here and gave an example of something that worked for "me" and if you look back I stated Quote: FOR ME it was because I wanted to learn how to shape the ball and become a better ball striker. I was playing well with my Burner 2.0's but felt I was relying more on the club than my golf swing. I switched to a set of MP-29's and have become a better ball striker and can shape shots like never before, also my distance control is 10x better.
  11. And the Fact is "unless" hit on the sweetspot it is harder to shape a shot with a GI iron. (Not saying a miss hit with a blade is going to be a good shot but it will have more shape than with a GI)
  12. Everybody's got there "fact" filled ideas that they are right and good for you, but if you took the moment to really read what I posted It started with "IMO" and also stated That for "most" people it is not easy because 90% of people using GI irons are using them because they can't hit the ball flush. So what you are saying is as long as you hit the "sweet spot" it will not be harder shape the shot? But in fact it is making it harder than a blade to shape because it has to be a flush shot? I'm not saying it cant be done, but more has to go right with a GI to shape a shot than with a blade.
  13. For the sake of avoiding a stupid argument where we go back and forth with reason why we are both right, how about we agree that not all GI irons are created equally and some may be easier to shape shots correctly. (Those closer to blade designs.) While others (closer to SGI irons) are not as easy.
  14. For me it was because I wanted to learn how to shape the ball and become a better ball striker. 15. Geek makes a great Head I don't think they are thicker though, He uses a 6AL/4V body so a hit like this would cause a similar effect. The Face of the Geek driver might be taller, but then you run the chance of hitting the seam and that can weaken and crack.
  16. This is unfortunately gonna happen with almost any New Model driver, 99% of drivers use a thin body with a weaker metal mix than the face ( Now don't get me wrong its still strong and durable) but a rock hard golf ball at 85-115+mph is gonna cause some damage no matter what type of metal its made out of. Best suggestion from me would be is get a cheap used driver and a swing coach and learn to make proper contact.
  17. I'm not a teaching pro so maybe someone with a little more experience with this could help but a cast could also cause a high launch.
  18. 50% off is a good selling point! lol Nike makes a Solid club I've never personally hit anything Nike but I know plenty of people who love them.
  19. Are these center of the face hits? Could be your swing, How high is it teed up, where in your stance is the ball? you could simply just be hitting on the up. For good shafts look at the Enzo Zolo HL4 or also the RT Technologies Zeus LT.
  20. I agree with mvmac sounds like a swing issue, normally a longer shaft will cause a slice "normally not always" try choking down on it and see if that helps. maybe even check you grip too, its amazing how much hand placement can effect your shot. to strong or to weak can wreak havoc on a player.
  21. Welcome to the world of golf, prepare to spend lots of money. Not out of necessity but just plain want lol I would suggest checking out the used clubs for sale on this site and even ebay, If you buy used you can buy more and find out what works best for you. Also check out demo days and even just go into you local golf shop and test out stuff on their launch monitors.
  22. Thanks for the add guys, My schedule is pretty tight the rest of the year but if I can I'd be up for an outing.
  23. Just gave my wedges to my buddy so I am in the market for some new ones, thinking of new irons also. I do like the 2.0's but I can't shape the ball as well as I wish I could. Pics are kinda bad but my phone is old lol
  24. I did it earlier this season, did pretty well but decided I needed to work a little harder and put a driver back in the bag. I felt I was lacking on the longer par 5's. But whatever you are confident with go with that.
