Join the club. I am the same way. I love cigars but cigarettes kill me. In fact, if I try to puff on one just once I nearly barf up a lung.

I'm still new, but so far, one-word vulgarities seem to rule my vocabulary, and screamed very loudly. Ones that start with "D" or "S" seem to be most prominant.

Please... tell me more about this "bag organization" concept. In intrigues me. LOL LOL LOL I haven't yet figured out WHERE to put everything. I don't even have a golf bag cart yet. I'm lucky if my socks match, actually.

... and all my friends, bless thier hearts, gave me encouragement and said that shooting 31 over par isn't bad for a first-timer. I was proud of myself on the first few holes because all my shots had good distance, trajectory and aim. After the 3rd hole, for some reason, I started grounding EVERYTHING out. Half of the holes I went 2X par. Very frustrating. Anyway... that's my first report. They let me keep the score card for posterity. Gee, thanks. Clint

I like the 48 to 54 ring gauges.... and depending on how long I intend on smokeing, either a robusto (5" or so) or a churchill (7"). There are several cheap brands I smoke everyday "sandwich" style, but the more premium brands I enjoy when I like to treat myself include the la gloria cubana, padron, onyx and partagas black. Cigars .... well, they go with just so many things so well..... I'm glad the new hobby I chose in golf accomidates it nicely.

Much like smr91481 I am haveing problems with my driver.... but instead of slicing problems, I am haveing trouble grounding out. I can hit with all my irons, achieve good height and also distance... but my driver hits all look as though I just used a putter. The ball lifts no more than 3 to 5 feet off the ground and goes out.. MAYBE... 50 yards tops.

I am new to golf but a long time enjoyer of the leaf. I was just wondering how many other golfers out there may also partake from the humidor every now and then- or, if like me, frequently....

I bought a simple (read: cheap) golf club set to get started with. It includes the driver (and two other woods), two hybrids, irons 5 through 9, a putter and a pitching wedge. Is this enough, or would the average bear say that I DO need to get a sand wedge and maybe even a lob wedge? Thanks!
