On vacation in Colorado. Played red hawk ridge in Castle Rock, Co. Awesome course. Golf is alive and well in Co. shot 66 on front nine. Altitude plays hell with yardage, but does wonders with the ego. Had three blow up holes due to ob tee shots or bad second shots. posted signs beware of rattlesnakes prevented any ball searches. greens seemed extremely slow to me. 3 putted most greens either left them 3 ft. short. or blew it by 3 ft. never did get speed right. On 12th hole the altitude and thin air got to me. As I am form mid-west elev.465 ft. playing at 6000 ft. elev. is a work out. ( I am 63 and 30 lbs to fat). Did have a par on par three of four holes I played on back nine. All in all a really good time. Hope to get in one more round.

Hi everybody, been following this thread for sometime now, you all give me hope!!!!! i only get to play 9 holes most of the time and seems like i am stuck at 53. i did shoot 50 last week putter was hot except for a couple of three putts only 19 putts total chipping was not bad either. if i keep my head down !!! my drives are ballooning making second shots longer, looking at getting x hot driver, with less loft, I am a lefty and trying new stuff is difficult, I always feel like sales people are thinking " this guy sucks at golf and why is this lefty wasting my time" . guess i will save that for a different thread. any suggestions for keeping head down or eyes on the ball would be appreciated. also would like to hear form any lefties using callaway x hot driver

I have same problem. Was demoing Nike covert driver, salesman said loft is your friend, turn driver to I think 12 degrees and closed face. man what a difference. no slice and gained 20 yards ( not a long hitter 220 yards is great for me). I was still skeptical found a 12 degree driver and it is still in bag. I am by no means a good golfer,but this was the best thing for my game. I also found out I turn my hands under, instead of over the top. Golf channel broom drill really helped. Old broom paint white one side. black on other side. Swing broom like a driver. Check out golf channel web site, may have video. Now if I am not careful it is a dead pull ob right.
