I have great ball striking skill, but I tend to hit some of my irons high and they land soft while i see some people when i caddie, blast through the ball taking out a huge divot in the front and the ball is just tattooed... why is that. I always wanted to be able to hit it the way they do, but I just have a natural swing that gives me good ball striking and I can't complain, but i want to take out divots, i rarely ever do. Any drills to make me do this?

Hi I am a lefty golfer and recently i have been having trouble hitting my clubs. I get perfect height, but I am losing distance on my swings and everything seems to go straight left. I use to have a natural draw, but not it does not draw anymore and just stays left. What are some drills for me to get my draw back and prevent my push to the left? I guess I am not releasing my wrists and rolling my forearms enough. If anyone can help this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yesterday and Today I hit 85 on a par 70 course and i felt great, but sometimes i sliced my irons and i felt like i was falling back when i swung even though i finished on my front foot. Is this just a weight transfer issue? What are some drills to make me move forward and keep my front shoulder from feeling like it leans back.

I am a lefty golfer and lately i have been hitting the ball straight left off the club. It goes just as high and as far but the ball goes off to the left. I didn't know if i was going to outside to a swing inside and slicing it? Can people give me drills or help and tell me whats wrong. I normally hit a nice draw and icant figure it out. Thanks

Imtomtomim, how do you like your hybrid irons? I love my hybrid, but i do not know if i could do all hybrids, it would just feel and look weird. I was wondering your opinion though.

I know exactly how you feel, yesteday was one of the best days i have ever hit the ball. Every iron i hit had a nice draw and my driver i was hitting about 280 in the air dead straight. I never have hit my driver so perfect, I tend to slice with my driver, but yesterday was just amazing. I was listening to my ipod and let nothing bother me. I just drove the ball. It was a great day. So since i did well at the range, i decided hell i suck in the sand lets try that. I went and practice in the sand and everyball i hit flew out of the large bunker perfectly with a little backspin to slow it down. I was just laughing to myself, and i think it just really put my confidence up. It was awesome. Maybe i will be able to break 80 soon, im around 86 with bad drives and terrible chipping.

thing is, with my taylormade rescue burner pretty much like a 3 iron, thats the best club in my bag, i can get it dead straight 230 yards everytime. My 4 iron i hit pretty decent as well, i just do not like to use this club. Ill take videos today. Thanks

I was wondering if i could get those tips online, instead of buying the dvds since i rather waste my money on playing golf and im a 21 year old college student and i dont have that much.

I do not have any videos, but I have always had a little trouble with my driver. My irons i have always hit perfect with a nice little draw and my driver i have trouble hitting on the sweet spot. Since it is a bigger and longer club, do you think maybe i am moving my head a little bit when i am in my backswing to gain power and that could be a reason why i may top it or slice it? Sometimes i kill my drive like 280 yds perfectly straight and then other times i hit a hook. any opinions would be appreciated, i will get a video soon so people can tell me what they think. Thanks

36 putts and 21 chips is a lot right? I just bought a new chipping set, 52, 56, 60 and i am not hitting them that great yet. It is bothering me. I typically use my 56 to chip, but i am not hitting it right when i am around the green. Leaving a lot of chips short and hitting them fat like getting all the way underneth of them. Is there anything i can do to practice this? thanks

Today was my first day playing in almost a year and i just recently started going to the range about a week ago. I have only been playing for about 8 months. Today I shot a 88 on lake Monticello in Virginia and i shot 36 for putts and 21 for chips. It seems like a lot, for being so close and i was wondering if there was any drills i can do for putting and chipping. What i consider chipping is a 100 yds and in. My irons were amazing today and driver was ok, but it was the small game. I want to get below 80 by the end of the summer and i feel this is the part of my game that needs work. Please can some of you give me drills or things i can practice on. Thanks

thats what i was thinking, i think i just started thing about it and messing up because i would get mad when hit it like crap and then i went to my 6 iron and hit it perfect, then went back to 4 mess up, went back to 6 for 5 swings all perfect... it was weird

I hit all my clubs perfectly today at the driving range except for the 4 iron. I hit the 3 hybrid rescue perfect and the driver as well. But when i took out the 4 iron i couldn't hit it correctly. I kept hitting it weird. Right when i hit it, the ball would just fly left, Right of the club. I was confused I could not fixed it. it would fly completely left off the club, but all my other clubs i hit dead on straight. It just felt really weird... could someone please give ideas as to why this happened? Was I not closing the head fast enough? Was i using all arms and trying to power it since its a 4 iron? Well any input would be nice, sorry i do not have a video it would of made it easier for you guys. thanks

For the whole set im looking to get it for under 160. If it is even possible. I need a new sw definitely and a lob wedge. Gap wedge I have never used before, but i know its necessary.

I have been searching for a good set of wedges, right now i only use a 56 degree sw and i want a new set of wedges. Gap, Lob and sw... i was wondering if anyone had a good set in there mind. I saw adams watson pvd 3 set and i was thinking about them but have not bought them yet. please let me know some idea.s thanks

Today I played the front 9 in Birdwood, the college course at UVA. I shot an all time low a 39. I even three putted twice. I have only been playing for like 4 months, on avg. I shoot an 86. If I wasn't a full time athlete at uva i would play golf 24/7

Is there anything at home I can use to help me get the correct stroke pattern for putting. I tried putting to square edges together and trying to swing through them, but I was wondering if anyone had ideas. When I put, on avg it is like a 34 and I am shooting like a 82 on avg. Putting is what is killing me. Anyone with suggestions would make me very happy. Thanks

Shot a 40 on the front 9, at spooky brook in Nj... and then i got to play 2 more holes and I had par, par. ... I was doing pretty well, since i stopped playing for a few weeks. I went into a slump, I started playing golf 4 months ago, since I needed to find another sport and everything was clicking. My avg. score was a 86, my lowest was a 79 and my highest was a 95. Then i played terrible for 2 days, shot a 100 and a 99. I started flipping out so I decide to take a rest from the game. I started thinking to much. I came back out today and I was on avg. for about a 80. So I am back !! :)

I went to the driving range 5x a week for 2 weeks... and took 1 lesson... now i never go to the driving range unless i get a new club or something...

I did some program online and I did 11 rounds of golf with the slope rating and everything... I just put a plus cause I thought it said you had to. I have no clue how to do handicap or even understand it.

I played again the next day, sorry I was down in Virginia and I just got back. I shot a 42 and on the last hole I double bogeyed. I count all strokes and I play it even if I miss hit on my drive... it only gets you better. My avg. score on 9 holes is like a 43. Just that one day everything went well and I shot my lowest.

I didn't mean anything by it, I was just excited and wanted people to know how I felt. So I am sorry to those who take it the wrong way.

I just started golf like 2 months ago and I have been bitten by the game I love it. My worst score has been a 95 and that was the first time I played to last night shooting an 83. Then tonight was my 10th round of golf and on the front nine i shot a 39... right when i went to start the 10th hole... thunder and lighting came around so i had to stop. I felt really good tonight. I just started buying new equipment. I had a set of acuity dicks clubs, i replaced the driver with a brand new callaway 460 9 loft... and replaced the putter with a NFX odyssey 2 ball putter... and now I am trying to replace my irons, which are the best part of my game with a set of real irons compared to these crappy ones. I love this game, I could do it every day. In high school, I hated it, I was 1st team all state in football baseball and wrestling and I actually have a d1 scholarship to uva for wrestling... and since i am not allowed to play any other sports i decided to pick this game up these past couple months and its a lot of fun.

I can get a set of lefty mizuno mx-19 clubs for 350$ is that a good deal or no? I just wanted to hear some opinions.

I am currently a 3rd year at the university, I am a division one wrestler and I love to play golf on the weekends at Birdwood. It is a great place to play very beautiful. You will enjoy it. And yes that second picture is on the back 9, it is a par 5. I forget what hole it is exactly but it was fun, I birdied it ha :) . Have fun.
