  1. I picked up a 2008 Cobra baffler 3 hybrid last week, it was a new demo, that never got demoed. It took two trips to the range, but after that, it is SOOO easy to hit. I then picked up the 4 hybrid. And I agree, they are great off the tee for par 3's. They land really soft. Even the 3 only rolls about 10 feet on the green. At least for me, it feels more like a driver/wood when at the tee, and it makes me feel like I can swing at it harder. (Mind thing) Only thing I am wondering, is if I will be buying the 5 and 6 also.
  2. No one with advice filling gap between driver and 4 iron? Or experience with these two clubs?
  3. Lastly, I know with my club set, I need to look at a 3 wood, but all they had was stiff shaft. (Same with a 2 hybrid) Should I stick with same shafts, or would that maybe be ok?
  4. Ok, I have a driver, then a small company hybrid (Ripit golf) that plays like a 4 iron hybrid. (a club builder measured the loft, length, stiffness. It was just like his 4i-hybrid, with a reg shaft, on the soft side) My swing speed is slower, around 90. I was rained out at the course today, but found that they had Cobra clubs that they were going to demo, but never did. They have a small "stamp" with a number and it's shaft flex. Other than that, they were brand new. (No head cover) They had the woods for $79, and the exact same clubs on their racks, without that stamp, with head cover for $179. Hybrids were $69, and same club on rack with no stamp, with head cover $149. They said i could return them if i did not want them, but not if I hit them. (I can come back and hit them off their first tee, with them there, to test it though) Anyways, I couldn't pass the deal, just incase these are good clubs. So I am asking here. These are the two I purchased: Cobra Speed LD Offset 5 wood, 18 degree. With Tour AD YS graphite shaft, Flex Reg. (On the shaft: Ball speed 110-140, weight 58g, kick-low, Torque 4.8) Cobra Baffler DWS 3 Hybrid, 20 degree. Aldila VS Proto-HL 65 graphite shaft, Flex Reg. (mid kick, 65g, 4.5) So, think these are any good? I know, I need to hit them, but I have read many clubs come with real poor shafts, so I wanted opinions on these. I rather not reshaft, if I need to, I rather just get different brand then, that have good shafts to begin with. Oh, I am a 20 handicap. I really was looking at Adams A3 hybrids and woods, or Cleveland HiBores, so are these Cobra's comparable? I sure know the prices are! at $79 and $69.
  5. I have a swinging door putting stroke, not straight back and through. I was told to get a toe heavy putter, which means it needs to be a blade, correct? I haven't found mallets that are toe weighted. "IF" that advice is even correct.
  6. I really like the TF Gamer. Good spin for a low cost ball.
