I've played the MP-57 irons for some time and they are very forgiving, IMO. They are a great forged club. The 62's are more blade like and are less forgiving. I do feel Muzino forged clubs are " some what eaiser to play compared to other forged and blades. Enjoy

Pro or Con on gps/rangefinders there have been good points on both sides. Choose your weapons and enjoy the game!

You guys have it wrong. When I'm refering to new tech I'm not talking about clubs and balls, I'm talking about high tech yardage i phones, gps, etc. I'm more than happy with a ball that is longer and spins more. I know that it would create a discussion but I still say there is WAY MORE enjoyment looking at the pin and estimating the yardage with your eye, markers or not. Also from experience golfers with computer yardage gps spend TOO much time checking yardage and it actually slows down the pace of play. Why should the human eye be replaced by a machine!!

Club technology has "nothing" to do with computer technology and yardage GPS. Please don't tell me that a GPS is the same as 460cc drivers or cast vs blades. Why are you saying my bag is b***t I think my combo as nothing to with computer tech. I'm sure I'm starting a flame but with you tech/computer guys, Golf is not a tech thing it's a great natural game. Yes, tech helps the sport but it's still the swing and swinger not the computer that determines easy 6 or full 7 Looking forward to the your fedback, really

Let me guess. most of you guys are under 30. You younger guys think tech can help with eveything,. Try to enjoy an old game as it was ment to be played. the computers are B***T

I feel the yardage computers take away from the game. The fun is to look at the markers and think, maybe easy 6 or a 7. I have to also say I'm '"real" tired of my golf partners looking a their I phone or other yardage computer and spending WAY TOO long analizing their shot. As you can probably can tell I think yardage computers are a NO GO! I'm sure I going to receive a lot of negative responce on this post but keep in mind, Golf is an old game with old rules not a new tech like a "video " game. Leave the computers at home and take your clubs. Leave your yardage computers at home. Are you not man or women enough to play without a computer???? Enjoy the game like the founders Rick

I saw the new the new Adidas shoe catalog today at my dealer and they look very impressive. There is a new top of the line shoe and a light weight shoe that both look great. the good news is they are keeping the 360 with a model 4, that's always been a great shoe.

I've played the MP 57 with 5.5 Flighted shafts along with Mp 33 with 6.0 Flighted. The 57's are suppose to have "flighted" type of control in the head, higher flight in long irons lower in short iron. That is why Mizuno will no longer offer Flighted shafrs in custom. That said, the 5.5 Flighted worked great in my MP 57's. The flight seems to be great and I usually do hit a highish ball in my irons and the flight was OK with the the flighted. The big plus is the feel of the Rifle over the Dynamic Gold. The Golds seem more boardy to me not as smooth and buttery as Rifle. It's up to you but I would "for sure" give the Rifles a try, I think you'll like them. You can always re-shaft later down the road, individual steel shafts are not as costly like graphite. Anyway enjoy the Mizuno's their a great iron.

No big knock on the MP 52 but the MP 57 just felt better. The MP 52 hit straight and strong but less feel, less of a forge feeling. Still a good iron.

I went to a fitting/demo of Mizuno clubs and my opinion is the MP 57 is a much better/feel club than the MP 52. Maybe as a 10 index player I like the 57 better but I really didn't like the MP 52. I hit the 52 fine but it was 'kind' of dead feeling compared to the 57. Both are good clubs but the 57 is top cabin. I'm sorry there dropping the 57 it's better and doesn't have the hollow cavity

One thing I learned and witnessed from the Mizuno rep during a fittting is that yor swing path is an important part on your lie angle. There was a short guy being fitted at the range and he thought he needed flat, after the fitting session it turned out he needed slightly upright. This is a big reason I would go with the pro he knows the golf swing not just the tech side. BTW I'm 6'2, wrist 39"" from the ground. I started by hitting 10 shots and the tape looked like I hit one, same place every time on the toe. Make sure your swing is somewhat consistent before a big change, this will confirm a good fit. I ended up with +1.5" 4* up and my iron play has never been so spot on.

My favorites are Cleveland, Titleist and Mizuno to name a few, there are alot of good wedges out there. From my personal experience, wedges should be fitted for lie angle and length like you irons, especially if you use them for full shots. Also make sure you get the correct bounce for your course conditions. I'm not a big fan of used wedges because many of the trade-ins are when they're worn out, especially the sand wedge. I think you're better off buying a "new" lower priced wedge than a used premium wedge.

I agree, I'm a techy also, I'm always switching out clubs, trying new shafts, different length putters etc I've used rangefinders and they are fun and "maybe" help my score. I just enjoy the game more without it. I do think they're a great idea on some courses where they're mounted in the cart. You can choose to use them or not but it does speed up play

I don't use a rangefinder, maybe I'm more of a purest but I think it takes away from the game. I've found my distance preception has become good over the years. I estimate the yardage and confirm it with a marker and it's usually darn close, of oourse wind and elevation will always come into play. But this is just me, alot of my friends use them and love them. I say what ever makes you enjoy the game more go for it. For me it's using my eyes.

I've been using a 17* hybrid instead of a 3 wood because my course calls for it. I also have a 15.5* 3 wood for when I go to different courses that need it. I hit the 17* hybrid very good and very long. It's great in the rough and off the tee. I was thinking of trading in the 15.5* 3 wood for a 15* hybrid. There is only 1.5" difference in length and I assume the hybrid would be easier to hit and better in the rough. Any feedback on distance or anything else that I would sacrafice dropping the 3 wood or the any ideas on the upside of going 15* hybrid.

I was fitted by the Mizuno rep at a driving range. It turned out I needed 1.5" longer and 4* up. The change in my ball striking is amazing. My buddies asked me the other day "what happen to your iron game"? I'm sure some of the improvement is in my head, I do feel more confident addressing the ball. Custom fit should be considered by all, being fitted can make a big difference.

I cut down the shaft to 45" and played a round yesterday and "boy howdy" did I gain distance with the new shaft. The ball flight was a higher launch then levels out with a good roll. I have now gained 20 yards instead of losing 10 yards with the 46" What a great shaft!!

The AXIV Black is actually a high launch shaft with less torque. I'm hitting the range today to give it one last try before I cut it to 45"

Maybe the swing speed isn't slower but sure feels like it. Actually my distance loss is probably closer to 10 yards than 20 but I thought it would 10 yards more not 10 yards less. I don't seem to have a problem hitting it square it's just not feeling right. All said I will probably cut it down to 45". I'll give it one more try first.

I think I'm losing distance because my swing speed is lower with the long shaft. The flight is perfect higher launch that levels out and gives me some roll. I was using the UST V2 76g (AXIV 77g) and the distance was good but but the flight was too low The flex point of the AXIV is low for a higher launch and the flex point of the V2 is higher for a low to mid launch. The new shaft feels like a very heavy shaft whipping around even though it's only 1 gram difference. The V2 felt great I was just looking for a higher launch to give me more distance. The distance loss is about 15-20 yards, too much. I really think the long shaft is a negative. I'm not a small guy 6'2" 205 with a 100+ swing speed. I just think 46" isn't working, we'll see.

I spoke to my club fitter today regarding driver shaft length. I recently put in a UST AXIV Tour black in my Titleist 909 D2, love the shaft. I'm hitting it very straight but it seems I'm losing some distince. He said that from a 45" to 46" would take it from a D2 to D8. The longer shaft doesn't always mean longer distance. What are your opinions??? Rick

I actually meant the "68's" look similar to the MP33 not the 58's. The 58's don't grab me, I like the looks of the 57's better.

Any of you Mizuno guys know if the MP100's are exactly the same as the MP33? I know the 100's were an anniversary limited addition but are they the same steel, shape etc. as the 33's with a different logo? Thanks

The 58's have a look similar to the MP-33's, seems like they are going back to the look and maybe performance of some of their best blades of the past with a touch of new technology.

From what I've heard, Mizuno will make almost any iron in their history special order. There may be a wait but I think they will make a new set of MP-33's. Good luck
