  1. where should i send the original?
  2. thanks guys i admit to forcing it to the inside on those iron shots here is another video. this one was a couple days ago hitting driver at the range... http://sports.webshots.com/video/304...V?vhost=sports
  3. Last post disappeared so I'm trying again. This time with video.. This is my first time seeing my own swing. I must say it looks much different than it feels. Advise???? http://sports.webshots.com/video/305...i?vhost=sports
  4. nothing extremely unusual comes to mind, but the best golfer i've played with has an unusual looking swing. very open and hunched over stance, very wide swing. he has tons of power with a low ball flight on his irons. at the time he was 21 and claimed to have a scratch rating. he easily shot 73 and 75 on my home course which he had never stepped foot on. should have been lower, but wasn't putting very well.
  5. Depends on what day of the week it is. Some days I hit it long and straight off the tee and can really get it done with the fairway woods. Other days I hit the irons 5-9 well. Most days I suck at both, but usually putt well. Chipping is ok, pitching is usually horrible.
  6. I agree that putts per GIR would be useful info. I just started tracking my putts/ round for the last two outings. 27 and 30. I know those numbers sound low, but I didn't hit very many GIR and play a course with several small greens. The round with 30 putts I averaged 1.667 putts per hole. I only hit 7 GIR and averaged 2.0 putts per GIR.
  7. I don't even know what the course record are at most of the courses I play. I do know that I don't have to worry about it at the moment though. Several years ago a couple of my buddies went to a local course for a round of golf. One was a 4 or 5 handicap at the time and the other was scratch. The 5 handicap sank his putt on the 18th for the course record 64 . Minutes later the other friend carded his 63 . At the time I think par for the course was 70.
  8. 50 on the front 37 on the back 87 on a pretty short par 70 course w/ small greens. I couldn't do anything but putt on the front. (16) Finally found my groove a little on the back. 32 total putts 7 gir 10 of 13 fairways technically, but some of them were very poor shots that just stopped in the fairway.
  9. back to back holes #11- 105yd par 3. Iron play was really suffering so I decided to tee the ball up a little higher and hit a smooth 3/4 9i. Landed 3ft straight in front of the pin and took one hop a little to the right to end up around 3ft. Made the birdie putt. #12- 300yd short par 4, but uphill to a platform green. Tee shot looked too be good. Ended up 4ft. Shy of a back pin. Missed the eagle putt, but I don't complain with birdies. First time for back to back birdies since I started playing again.
  10. I have only played once recently and did not get a good idea from that. I have been to the range a couple times and am not sure if I am shorter that before, or the Top Flite range balls are making a difference. I would guess it's a little of both. If it is the balls, what would be my approx. distances when I am hitting the range balls--- 60 degree- 75 54 degree- 90 PW- 110 9i- 130 8i- 140 7i- ? 6i- 170 5i-180 4i-190 3i-200 5w- 190-200 carry 3w-200-220 carry driver-230-240 carry

  12. I played my first official round of golf in over a year about two weeks ago. +14 for an 84 I was pretty pleased with everything esp. putting (27) except for my decision making. I chose to pull the driver out on two occasions and it cost me in both cases. Made one birdie on a short 127yd par 3. I missed a few other birdie putts, but in reality made a couple saves that I probably shouldn't have.
