  2. Snow still on the ground+ 2 new clubs in the bag= torture.
  3. Hello all, I'm slowly up grading my woods. I already picked up a Cobra bio cell driver ( I'm loving this driver!) and saving my pennies for a 3 wood. As far as replacing my 5 wood Im not sure what way to go, standard wood or replace it with a hybrid. I'm leaning towards the hybrid with the thinking that it would give my a few more options of use. Am I on the right track? Has anyone else made a similar move? Any feed back will be helpful.
  4. Played my first round of 18 today at the Mount Prospect golf club. I didn't drive the ball well at all., I was slicing and shanking the ball on just about every hole. It wasn't all bad, I gave me to work on my irons out of the rough and around trees. I shot a 129 on a par 71.
  5. Being new to the sport i have a lot of things to work on. For this year: 1) straighten out my slice with my driver. 2) hit my irons more consistently. I top the ball a lot. 3) learn the ins and outs of the game as a whole.
  6. Are there any other members that are from the Chicagoland area ? I only have one friend that golfs and I'm looking for others people to play with. Anyone have any suggestions of where I can find other players in my area?
  7. I'm looking into upgrading my irons and I'm not sure which way to go, steel shafts or graphite. What if anything is the advantage of one vs the other? Is there a performance benefit or is it all feel?
  8. Hello all, I'm looking to invest In a putter but I'm not quite sure what I should be looking for . I've stopped at a few local golf shops in my area and tried a few out on the practice green. I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I do want a club that will work well for me. Any advice or pointers that I should look for or think about before i buy.
  9. I work tech support and I'm the application specialist for a motorcycle windshield manufacturer.
  10. Hello everyone. I'm a total newbie to the sport. I inherited a set of clubs from my wife late grandfather. I've been tho the driving twice this short warmer spell here in northern Illinois and I'm really enjoying myself. I'm a former ice hockey player and I think that it is helping my swing. I've been focusing on learning to hit my iron and it's been going well. My 9 is going around 100 yards, 7 about 125 yards, 5 iOS going about 150. It's going straight My drivers are another story. It's landing about 200 yards our, but it's got a bad slice about half way down the range. I'm not too worried about it too much. I know I have a lot too learn and I know it's not going to come over night. I look forward to talking and leading from you all .
