  1. Okay, been a few rounds and the 64 is great for me. Like some of the other posts, others are surprised by my new flop shot skill...and I get mixed looks when I explain it was just a chip with my 64. It's definitely not for everybody but it is staying in my bag.
  2. Hey all, Thanks for the replies. Sorry for delay respoding. Was on Stay-cation for 4 days of last week...and played 54 holes yesterday....11 hours on the course at Woodstone. Anyone else ever played 54?
  3. After my round yesterday I brought the bag home and decided to swap my 3 wood for a 64. Having the same problem less than 50 yards, and my 19 deg hybrid goes just about as far as my 3w from the fairway. With my 19 index, I'm betting on more options up close than from long range. I would love to improve my shot making and spin, too. The 64 lets me use a square set up and 'normal' swing...easier for my game.
  4. Hi All, Great site and very, very knowledgeable crowd. Looking forward to participating. Home area: Lehigh Valley in Eastern PA.
  5. For me, I like having the matching Gap but prefer a tradition sand wedge. Matching gap gives me full swing confidence but in the sand around the green I find the a cavity back sand wedge awkward.
  6. I've been wondering the same thing. Right now I am set up for long range as: 3W, 4H, and 6I... I've been choking down a bit on the 3W and 4H when I need to close the gap. It's not so bad from the fairway but I don't have much confidence shot making like this on long par 3's. So, I've got the space to add 2 clubs and for the next round I'm planning to add the 5I (seem to hook the 4H when I try to swing easy) and I'm leaning towards adding the 4I too. I like the 4I when I want to keep it really low and when I'm striking the ball well. Feels redundant to keep the 4H, but I have a lot of confidence with it from the rough. Anyone have a thought on whether I should drop the 4h in favor of say a 2h? I can't hit the 3W well from outside the fairway and wonder if the 2H might be as easy as the 4h? Plus I wouldn't have to choke down between a 3W and 4i.
  7. Agree about when to use a 60....I've got a 50 that matches my cavity irons and a 54 and 60 that are traditional wedges. I use the 50 for full swings and the bump and runs, and use the others around the green. Just have more confidence with the matched GW from longer range.
