  1. I'm pretty sure the "coking" process only works on the oil can finishes since they are not plated.
  2. The Charcoal Mist finish is a plated finish so it is by nature very durable. I'd go for it.
  3. The pro plats are great putters, you wont be dissapointed. Keep that headcover on though!
  4. Wow those look great, I cant wait to try them out!
  5. Depends on what driver it is, and what the damage is.
  6. The neck of it slants backwards. Notice how the hosel is bent back at an angle on this putter: http://www.scottycameron.com/images/...s/a001412c.jpg And look how this neck is straight up: http://www.scottycameron.com/images/...s/A000426a.jpg Just subtle differences but apperently the mid slant and slant help with putters who have/like alot of "toe flow"
  7. Gotta be the headcover for my Scotty Cameron, need to keep that putter in good condition!
  8. I agree, and also it takes ALOT more time to mill a putter out of a solid block of metal than to cast a putter. Scottys are just overall solid putters.
  9. Alot of people (including me) see these putters as not only golf clubs but works of art. The ones you see going for in the thousands of dollars are each unique, kind of like different paintings from the same artist. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
  10. I think the reason why they are not so popular is because they are so expensive. I dont thin there is really a market to have multiple driver heads and shafts just so people can change them out as the conditions change.
  11. I'm a lacrosse player so regardless of wether I like it or not I have to run. Right now I'm at a 5:45 mile and have hit a wall, kind of frustrating. Also instead of a parachute you can try leg weights, they work pretty well.
  12. The only cons with blades are thier forgiveness, if you miss hit then you are screwed. However if you strike the ball clean you get a much more workable shot, and it feels amazing. I have also found that I get more distance out of a properly struck blade then I did with a properly struck cavity back. There was also a test done with a machine and blades are much more accurate also.
  13. My ball striking with them is great, I make great contact with them and they are great clubs. I really recommend them. Now on the other hand when I hit the MP-57's I couldn't hit them at all. I actually got them with Project X shafts. I bought them used from Golf Galaxy and thats what the guy who owned them reshafted them with. I havent actually hit the S400 shafts so I cant really comment on them.
  14. I play the Nike Forged Blades and I love them, great clubs and if you can find them used you cant beat the price!
  15. I'd go for it, the 2008 US Open headcover is probably the headcover I'm going to get because my one right now is shot.
