  1. I have a 50 degrees gap wedge, 54 degree sand wedge, and a 46 degree pitching wedge. PS: I'm looking at the Titleist Vokey Spin and Cleveland CG15
  2. My highest lofted club is a 54 degree, so I'm looking to get a 60 degree. Mizuno is my preferred brand, but if anyone can offer suggestions to others I would be happy to look into it. What's the best brand of Mizuno that I should get? Feel free to ask me questions about what I'm looking for in this club ...
  3. yeah hopefully sometime later this week i'll get a proper angle.
  4. 3 Hybrid most likely, except if there's stuff on the left. I tend to pull my hybrid sometimes. :P
  5. I used to have this problem as well, but after doing a few drills I got better. I used the tee drill to improve my speed. Even with those short putts, you can put too much speed on it and lip out or not take the intended break. To do this drill, simply put two tees on the putting green like goalposts and putt to it, getting the ball past the goalposts but as near as possible. Start at 3 feet, then 5 feet, etc. until you feel confident in each distance. Another thing that screwed me up on the short putts was my excessive head movement. Luckily, I played with someone one day that noticed it and helped me out! Because my head was coming up as I stroked the ball, I was pulling the ball. Make sure you don't move your head. All in all, if you align correctly (parallel) to intended line, and have the correct speed and stroke, then you'll be fine!
  6. I've been having some issues with my swing lately. MISSES: Driver: High Shot with a Fade, losing about 20 yards. Irons: Simply right of the target, or shank (??). I've been trying to make my swing steeper because it's been really flat. Any comments would be great! excuse the bad filming!
  7. For pacing off yardages, is there a specific length of pace i should have or should i just walk normally for each 1 yard? Videos would be nice ... I've been kind of confused about this for awhile.
  8. thanks for the tips! I actually got the job at Chamber's Bay, a really really nice golf course out here ... it's the site of the 2015 U.S Open! :D
  9. Yep, I landed myself a nice caddying job this summer at a really good golf course :] I was wondering if anyone had some tips for caddying -- if you've been a caddy, or if you've had one before. What do you expect of them? What makes some better than others? Any tips would be appreciated! Thanks
  10. Ah, that's probably the problem. I've been using a sand wedge. On another note, when should I be using the sand wedge? when it's lying up and i need it to go high?
  11. After a short break over the winter, my short game is just terrible, and my memory isn't holding up on one part of the pitches. When I'm like on hard ground/ just plain hard fairway grass and i'm pitching about 20 yards, am I supposed to use wrist at all? Because I keep chunking and getting under the ball, both when i'm using wrist and when i'm not. Help?
  12. Thanks everyone! Helped a lot! By the way, I watch this guy all the time!
  13. Are there any specific drills that can help with increasing lag?
  14. Will playing tennis a little bit screw up my golf game? Also, I've heard of some drills in tennis that are related to golf... can someone tell me those?
  15. Should I be focusing on having the wrist at the top of the backswing flat?( top of wrist facing ceiling?) I was at the course yesterday... I had some good shots but I actually was hitting the ball thin and even topping it a few times quite a bit... Could this be caused by a flat swing?
  16. I was at the range once again today, and I was doing better. I focused on having a more inside swing path, but I STILL had a stinkin fade going on at me... Whenever I tried to really go inside or turn the face over, I ended up chunking the ball -.- Should I just keep working on taking it inside, or what? Oh also - can taking the club more inside also affect the swing plane? Like could it make it flatter?
  17. Two posts before yours I said what was happening,
  18. Ok, I was at the range again and was focusing on going inside out and flattening my swing. and not going over the top... however, I was chunking quite a few balls, and my driver and most of my irons had a little tiny fade to it, which I couldn't get rid of.... what part of the swing is causing this?
  19. Hmm.. I was just imagining putting tees under both my armpits... and swinging.... I don't think that'll work very well since I'll only be able to take it up like halfway.
  20. Hmm, ok. I've been trying to get rid of the over the top. Yesterday I hit a little fade, but no slices or anything like that. Toward the end my irons were dead straight. I'll do the drill with the tees though.
  21. Went to the range today, got some actual shots. Critique please! DRIVER: IRON: THANK YOU SO MUCH!
  22. Really? Yeah I play there all the time! What a small world, haha.
  23. I watched an episode of Golf Fix, and Michael was talking about how at the top of the backswing, you should try to feel like the back of your hand is facing the ceiling... I think this makes the clubface more square at impact. Is this correct? I just started trying to do this today and it's been helping.
  24. Ok, new videos coming up of me actually at the range. I was working on some specific stuff, and i was suprised at how good I was hitting the ball after not playing for a month!
  25. Lol, they're just practice balls.
