  1. So long as you stick with sellers who have a good rating you have a very slim chance of getting ripped off.
  2. I'm using my favourite right now: Taylormade V-Steel FW 3-wood. I have a regular flex shaft on it and can hit it 200-250 yards on a good swing :).

    Training Aids

I think 95% of the training aids out their are just gimmicks, the only way you are going to improve in a truly measurable and stable way is to practice. If you aren't making any headway on your own, you can always buy some lessons from your local PGA professional. I am still new to the game of golf, but I have played other sports, and I can say with confidence that cheap toys don't help you.
  4. Tiger could be playing another 30 years if his health stays where it is right now, Michael Jordan's time on the court was considerably less than Tiger's will likely be. Sure, he has inspired a lot of people, but I think him quitting sometime in the distant future is likely to inspire other players to try and beat his records, so no I don't think it will have a negative effect on the game at all.
  5. I bought my first glove about 2 months ago. It is still in a relatively usable state after 4 rounds of 18 holes and about 1000 balls on the driving range. It's cabretta leather :p.
  6. I haven't paid for any lessons yet, I may or may not in the future, however so far I am improving nicely without them :). There is a lot of stuff online that is free that one can learn and improve with given the knowhow to look for it (and I am talking legal stuff hehe).
  7. When are you guys planning on doing your next podcasting and what about?
  8. Links appear to be broken for me.
  9. Your shafts might be too stiff as well, might want to demo some other shafts and see if it helps any.
  10. Good job sam, I am in the same boat as you, I scored 106 a couple days ago, but I was playing pretty badly on the back 9 due to having worked a 9 hour day on my feet and it getting dark for the last 5 holes, could have probably broken 100. I have been playing just under 2 months myself :). You running a blog like I am to plot your progress?
  11. So what are you looking for then? Distance? Trick shots?
  12. ......well do you hit it straight? i dont know that anyone can say any particular thing is bad without knowing what your ball-flight is like
  13. My suggestion would be to try and slow your swing down a bit as well, you might be swinging a little too fast for your own good.
  14. I pitched onto the green from the rough, it was about a 50 yard pitch, and landed 1 inch from the hole... that was almost my first birdy, but instead it ended up being my first parred hole :).
  15. I just went out for my 3rd round of golf ever yesterday. Slope of 129, 6700 total yards, a par 71 course where 15 of the 18 holes have major water hazards, and I scored a 108. I am improving substantially since I started playing last month :). 120 (With about a dozen mulligans) 118 (no mulligans) 108 (no mulligans)
