  1. That's wonderful! I'm actually watching some show on the Golf Channel right now about the First Tee program. Some of those kids are truly amazing. Not just their golfing ability but the way that they approach life as well. As far as lessons, I wouldn't "force" anything on her. Just let her choose everything on her own. I think that group lessons are good for kids because they get to spend time with kids around their own age, etc., and it's more fun to them. However, personal lessons offer 1-on-1 instruction and therefore could offer her what she needs. I wish her, you guys, the best!
  2. AMEN to that! It's really cold out here in OH. This morning it was like -20* and it was even worse yesterday morning! I can't take it anymore. I told my girlfriend and some of my family that I'm really considering buying a home in Southern Georgia or something. Maybe in Augusta? I spend A LOT of time and money on my yard, landscaping, etc.. I get mad when my Pugs poop in my yard or if there's a blade of grass that's taller than the others, etc., BUT, I'll take my weed wacker and hack down a fairly large area just so that I can hit balls. Out of everything on T.V. and the thousands of movies out there, my T.V.'s are set on the Golf Channel 99% of the time, or the channel that the majors, etc., are on.
  3. I have to agree with you 110% on this one. It seems like everyone is concerned with what an LPGA player looks like rather than what she does for the game.
  4. I have a Titleist Players towell (for clubs/shoes), a Memorial towell (for balls) and even carry one of those Ball-Zees.
  5. I love watching both as well. However, I really enjoy watching Euro golf. The Euro commentators seem like they're more, ummm, "interested" in the game. They're so "soft spoken" that you can easily fall into a trance. I was a lot of motorcycle racing as well and the same goes for it. The Euro commentators get so much more excited when someone makes a pass or gets their first win, etc..
  6. I'm still in shock. I can't believe that she announced her retirement earlier this year. She's done so much for the game and has one of the best personalities in golf. I think that she'll be back. If she doesn't return full-time she'll definately play in the majors or selected tournaments. She can't just leave! She's a legend!
  7. Mr. Nicklaus, Mr. Palmer, Mr. Player, Ms. Lopez/Mrs. Knight, Mr. Trevino and many more. I can't pick just one.
  8. I absolutely love them! I used to play with (still have them) the older SM's and loved them too but with the new soles they're more workable than they've ever been. I especially like the way they play out of the bunker(s).
  9. It all depends on what model of the PT's you're talking about. I think Tiger carried an old PT for a very long time. IMO, the older models were targeted to the single digit handicaps, the newer models are more forgiving, etc.. As for double digit putters, sure, you can find one there in that range. You probably won't find a Scotty there in that range. However, again, IMO, just be patient and keep looking on eBay, etc.. You MAY get lucky and find an older Scotty in your price range!
  10. I might have to agree with you on this one.
  11. Ahhhhh, the classic Vokey name...they could be displayed in the Louvre. Anyways, if your local store doesn't have them in stock just ask them to order one for you. They may get some in stock, depending on the demand for them in your area. However, certain lofts/bounce may be special order only. I have the new SM's and their amazing. If you pick one or more up, you'll love them.
  12. Hacker's a bad, bad word...haha. Perhaps...golfer? We're all golfers but in my mind a "player" could be anyone...a single digit handicap or a double digit, that actually respects the game and abides by the rules, has great course management, knows his/her yardages on the dot, controls their temper!!!, and so on.
  13. I'm sure that you already know about this, but...I got on UPS' website and they have a claim process that you can go through. I tried to copy and paste the link but it wasn't working for me, sorry. That's a shame. The sad thing is, they'll probably try to fight it claiming that they didn't do anything, etc.. Good luck with everything!
  14. Oh, man...what a topic... I can't stand anyone who acts so foolish. It's pathetic. Getting angry, blaming everyone and everything but themselves. I won't play with anyone who acts such a way(s). Ummmmm...wasn't it Jay Williamson at Q-School this year who acted like a little 2 year old? That guy doesn't deserve to have his card.
  15. It HAS to be Caddyshack 2. Now, it doesn't have Knight, Murray, etc., in it BUT...I think that it was a good movie. Anyone like Saw?
