  1. What I do is something similar to this, but that was a tip from a golf pro. I take my grip and stand knee just unlocked with arm extended (but not locked in) in front of me and wrists slightly extended. In fact you can also use the elbows hinge to gently project the club in front of you like cirem22 mentioned, that will promote the slight extension of the wrists. From that position, I only bent from the waist to ground the club and adjust my distance from the ball, making sure also to feel a good balance, i.e. weight not on the toe nor on the heels. It's a very reproducible way to get into position that adjusts to club you have in hand, it's now part of my pre-shot routine.
  2. Well I have steel shaft in my fwy woods and could not play any of the graphite shaft fwy wood I tried, but I wonder if it is really a matter of material or just a matter of the shaft weight, I just can't feel where the club is in the backswing with the graphite shaft fwy woods I tried. Possibly a heavier graphite shaft would suit you ?

    Glove?

Yes, but I remove it for putting. Beside sweating, I was told (by several teaching pros) that the rationale for using a glove on the left hand is to re-inforce it with respect to the right hand as a many people have weaker left hands.

    Shawn Clement

One of the tips I found particularly useful at the time is when he swings back and forth continuously, hitting always the same spot on the ground. If you're out of balance or tempo, there's no way you can do that. or at least, no way *I* could do that

Shawn is very knowlegeable AND a great teacher, which is rare enough. I've been particularly inspired by his lessons on tempo, balance, lag, etc...
