  1. I've used V Caddy and it isn't really accurate in my opinion. I'm not going to rely on inaccuracies when I'm on the course. I'd rather use yard markers or feel at that moment, next investment for me is going to be a range finder. I feel that GPS is hit or miss, especially living in Michigan where the weather is different every day and it pretty much is cloudy all the time so satellite measurements can't be all that accurate. Not down playing your find at all, I've been using the 3-G capable Iphone for GPS apps since they launched last year...I've paid for apps and used the free one's hoping to find a great alternative to yard markers, but I haven't been successful yet with them.
  2. Anyone a member of Lemon Bay or have played this track? I will be playing Lemon Bay GC next week and would like to get some feedback on this track as well as any other note worthy courses in the area? Thanks!
  3. Peak Vision and/or Sun Dog would be my recommendation. I use the Peak Vision and love them. Polarized lens's are for water enthusiasts, they give you no advantage on the golf course, unless you tend to splash a lot of balls in the pond! I wouldn't spend the extra money associated with that technology, unless you are an avid fisherman. eBay - Peak Vision or Sun Dog, you can't go wrong.
  4. My wife can only play about 9 holes. On our Honeymoon in Cabo, she attempted to play 18 holes but stopped on #11. She gets tired or her hands, fingers, and/or her legs start to ache. I truly wish she would embrace the game and want to play more often, but she is just simply more interested in shopping, pedicures, MTV gossip shows, the list could go on for days and it doesn't really include golf. So with that being said, all of the time with instructors was worthless and purchasing the new Foot Joy's to outfits, clubs, etc...are still sitting in the garage collecting mice turds and dust. Until next summer when she gets the itch to go out maybe 2 times. For now I'll just stick with the boys and not worry about slow play and shanks.
  5. Swingyde is probably one of the best inexpensive training tools to keep your swing plane on track. http://www.swingyde.com.au/ I was starting to lose everything left and after some video analysis I was coming way inside and flat. The Swingyde was able to get me back on plane and hitting the ball more consistent. I typically pull it out and use it during the beginning of my range workout, then hit some full shots with it, then hit the remainder of the balls without it. If you get the Swingyde it also comes with an instruction DVD that is also very helpful...not a bad price either, somewhere around $30 US.
