I'm a consulting actuary and struggling to break 90. Would like to go part time retired to concentrate more on my golf

I have a similar distance issue and I am coming to the conclusion that it is a mixture of three factors: a) my 47* PW is cavity backed with a high COR whereas my 52* and 56* wedges are forged b) my skill level is more suited to cavity backed clubs as they are more forgiving of off centre strikes c) spin I am thinking of replacing my 52* with a cavity backed 51* AW

I have been working through the bag and every change has made so obvious that properly fitted clubs make such a difference. Cost is about the same as OEM, but the work of the clubfitter is crucial.
