OK- I STAND CORRECTED ON THE "DEFINITION OF APEX" - MY POSITION REMAINS SUBSTANTIALLY THE SAME, THO - MAKE A "STRAIGHT" STROKE TO THE POINT THE BALL WILL BREAK TOWARDS THE HOLD - SMOOTH, STRAIGHT PUTT - DON'T "STEER" IT. TOMM

Just remember this - every putt is a STRAIGHT putt - to some point. Pick that place where the ball will "drop" or roll towards the cup, and hit it straight there - that's the "apex" of the putt. Not to be confused with the apex of the putting stroke/swing; that is in the middle of the stance/ball position. Many players miss their putts 1" - 2 " to the left by playing the ball too far forward in their stances - the putter will "bottom out" and the face of the putter will be square in the middle of the stance -at the APEX of the swing/putt. ... Have had many putters {SeeMore, Scotty, and more} - Tried the Nike Method 005 [ small mallet with the "expensive" insert, not the plastic one] - this putter is phenominal. It immediately encouraged a smoother stroke - really got all the putts in or close - sticker was $299 - seen it for $249 - got it on eBay [new] for less and very happy. Good stroking..Tomm

The "spot" is the place you AIM the ball to break to the hole. The "spot" is the "apex" of the putt line - every putt is a straight putt - to some point. Tomm

I bought a box of Bridgestone B330-RX balls from my pro, and got a coupon (cost $.044 to send in) and got a nice red shirt and a black hat with Bridgestone logo on them. I still play with those balls; I don't alway wear the hat or shirt -- it's just part of golf [I'm not the guy with the NASCAR "golf" hat on, ever!].

Good luck with the Adams. Waiting for my A4 set to arrive (had A3 set last season with 3, 4 and 5 in hybrid). May consider ProGold 2 Adams and take 5 wood out of bag. Happy New Year to all

No hybrids in yr bag? I'm reluctant to recommend Adams (A3 last season; just got the BEAUTIFUL A4 '09 set) - 3 and 4 hybrid 5-pw gorgeous. so many choices tho -good luck - Tomm

use a cpl putters (depending on green conditions) golf over in boston area - played 10 days ago - nice - 42 and windy. mizuno black carbon - lighter for faster greens - best touch; see more milled mfgp black [just bought 3Mw - check it out- you might like; small mallet]. the see mores are for spring/late fall/winter greens. good luck - warmer there sooner than here! tomm

Adams - 3 and 4 this past season from the A3 graphite iron set. Waiting for my new A4 Tech set to be delivered (then 3 and 4 from that set). Might as well use what most of the pros do..;)
