  1. Ping G15, 9 degree with a US V Force X-Stiff shaft 77g. Ball speed was consistently 177-182. Amazing trajectory when I tee'd the ball down a little... Odyssey Sabretooth putter 34'. Feelin good for now...Untill I get out there and hack it up again. Then I'll just blame it on the clubs again...haha.
  2. OK so suggestions? Maybe the new Taylor made R9 or the Ping G15? I just want something forgiving off of the tee with a deeper face than the Wilson Smooth....Im around a 10-12 handicap and my driver swing speed is around 118-122.
  3. Hit it at the PGA stupid store today and really liked it...I'm looking for a new driver (because I love spending money needlessly and I blame the 8 lost balls off of the tee in my last round off of my stupid driver...Cant be my swing of course ). The point is this...Has anyone hit this driver? What I'm looking for is forgiveness, and a deeper face. I hit the ADAMS and the King Cobra while I was there, but they didnt quite hold up as good as the Callaway.
  4. I was reading online that TIGER uses an S300 to an S400 in his sand wedge although he plays X100's in all of the rest of his Irons. I just ordered my new Irons with X100's (due to my swing/ball speed). I also ordered my sand wedge in the X100....Is that too much for a sand wedge especially considering Tiger hits an S300 in his? Pros and Cons? Any experiences with either for all of you "big hitters" out there?
  5. Actually the ADAMS driver to my understanding had excellent reviews from Golf Digest as a Gold Winner in the driver category....I currently have the Wilson smooth and I too want a new driver (for absolutely no good reason other than I like new golf clubs all the time...lol).
  6. You know I have often wondered the same thing...hopefully someone "chimes" in on that for you. (and for me).
  7. I would absolutely recomend the MP57's. They are a great club, however Mizuno is phasing them out very soon to my understanding. You can pick up great deals off of ebay for a set. I play the MP57 3,4,5. Very soft feel, yet you can work the ball however you want! That being said, I was at the Frys open here in Scottsdale, AZ following Rocco Mediate. I was looking in Rocco's bag and he had a set of X-22's (Yes the cavity backs!). He had hit a poor tee-ball and found himself behind a bush on a dog leg left. He hit a beautiful draw right on the green (Of course) with the X-22...So I guess it can be done relatively easy with the X-22 as well =).
  8. +1, exactly.
  9. First of all lets get something strait...If you are talking about the Mizuno MP-57, it is not a "blade." I would classify the 57's as a forged cavity back styled club. If you want a "blade" get the new MP68's....they are the sweetest feeling club you have ever hit, guaranteed.
  10. TonyQ I love your avatar....LOL!!!
  11. Thank you for taking the time to explain to me the difference between the two. I think I'm going to roll with the project X's. I'm still debating on the 6.0's or 6.5's. I know I should probably get the 6.5's with my SS, but I think slowing my swing down a little could help... My SS on my driver is 120-125 (Ya I know it's different for a 5-6 Iron obviously...). your right though. If I end up getting the 6.0's, and they are to soft it will cost at least $300 to switch everything to the 6.5's. I also heard though you can make a 6.0 a 6.2 or something like that if you take it to a club fitter? I'm going to get the MP57's 4-6, and the MP67's 7-P.
  12. Excellent advice.....chipping and putting can save you BIG.
  13. I can deff. see your point here. I go to the PGA superstore here in AZ and spend a TON of money in there, but there are a few guys that work with me and every time I go into the store they drop what they are doing to help me. Yes I could go on e-bay and order clubs for hundreds cheaper, but I stick with them because they provide the customer service that I could never get from E-bay. I think some of the smaller stores, the guys work off of commission (which is horrible in my opinion).
  14. I want to know how many of you use the Project X shaft compared to an S300 or X100 true temper in your irons. I cant make up my mind now on whether to go with the Project X 6.0's in my new clubs, or the X100's? Advantages & Disadvantages of both?
  15. I hit my 6 iron 190-200. I had the 6.5's, but I want to try the 6.0's and smooth out my swing a little.... BGPRO- So your saying I'm better off with the Dynamic Golds? x100's rather than the 6.0's?
