Yes the club would dig deep in any conditions and made it very tough to play during soggy conditions. Tho as I stated earlier that it isn't quite as bad as it had previously been. Also from using standard clubs for so long I always had to bend over a good bit. With the new ones that fit my posture is a lot better but I could possibly be still bending over too much. Definitely when I get back on land I will be working on posture and swing angle. That will be over a week from now so I'm sure I'll drive myself crazy between now and then. Back in the day it was so bad that on wet/soggy ground I would sometimes dig in so far that it stopped my swing... Thankfully it's been a good while since I have had a moment like that... It's pretty painful

This is probably why it seems to have gotten better recently. I'm 6'4" and have used standard clubs my whole life and just very recently started using a set that actually fits. I think between having the right clubs and changing my swing angle it should be a very fixable problem.

Thanks for the reply, the clubs that this most often happens is mainly 8-60 degree. Sometimes ever by 6 and 7.. The bad shots were mainly me hitting it fat but I don't really do that often anymore. I'm more or less trying to figure out why I take such big divots on good shots and I'm pretty sure you hit the nail on the head with the swing angle. I have been watching a good bit of golf today and noticing where the club head winds up at the end of the swing. My club head ends up hitting me in the butt sometimes. Not all the time but I believe that is a definite key to show that the arch angle of my swing path is a lot more steep than it should be. Any insight on ways to correct my swing arch angle?

For a long time I always noticed with my bad shots I had very large deep divots and I thought that as I got better it would fix itself. Lately my game has improved a good bit but I'm noticing that even on good shots where I make great ball contact and you can hear the ball "sizzling" as it flies off I am still seeing the same thing. I just wanted to get some input on what it really means to take such large divots and how to work on changing that if it's a problem. On a side note: yes I pour sand in them and even collect the pelt of grass from up ahead and replace it. If I didn't do so there would be lots of very unhappy campers at my home course.... Good tip and I will definitely be trying that advice as soon as I get another chance. I am offshore at work right now and have golf fever worse than I can remember ever having it. And reading these forums and watching instructional videos is only making it worse. I'm pumped to say the least.

Exactly what I was talking about by saying it was a childish move on my part. Looking for style points rather than better shots. For one thing it seems pointless to me now. If you can put the ball where you want it and make it stop then what it's the point of trying to put the ball past where you want it and bring it back to where you actually do want it. Although it's pretty cool when it works out that way. I don't think it's a good reason to get the club, and now I can back up even my 8 iron anyways. My point is that I bought the club for the wrong reasons, then found better uses for it, and then realized that it was not very practical to use even when used for the right reasons.

I know I'm a little off because I have never had a 64 but I do have a 68.. It's been sitting in the shed a couple years and is now for sale with my old irons and my old 60. I got the 68 honestly with a little kids mentality of trying to find a club that I could suck the ball back with, solely to impress whoever I played with... It took some getting used to but I got it figured out and for a while it was the main wedge I played.. Probably also the main reason my scores were so high. I could hit some beautiful shots with it but very often would skull it 100+ yards witch makes for a misurable hole. I finally decided to get a 60 and liked it so much that it became my go to wedge And I really used it pretty much any time I was within 110 yards... Still yet Hense my terrible scores. At that point it got to where the only time I pulled the 68 out of the bag would be if I needed to get the ball straight up and straight back down with little roll out. But I tried the same shots with my 60 and had so much more spin on the ball that I could get it to stop around the same spots without having to hit such a drastic shot. And the shot in talking about by the way is several feet in the air and no more than 8-10 yards of carry over a bunker to a short/tight pin location. So therefore I retired the 68. But yet still my scores weren't improving as much as I felt they should. I played like that for a couple years wondering what the problem was... In my mind I had a perfect wedge that I could do nearly anything with and a lot of times do it very well... So my 60 started to get a little old and I decided to get in the market for another one... I ended up getting a new 60 plus got a 52 and a 56 to go with them and ever since have had almost effortless improvement. I am not relying so much on one magic club but more or less letting the clubs do what they are designed for. That being said even now from 75 in I still use my 60. If I can get the my stubborn mind to let me go back to hitting some bump and run shots with an 8 iron I should be really on track. I guess my point is that you can get special clubs and fall in love with them and make yourself think that they are doing you some good and at the same time really only be hurting yourself. I am in no way an expert and this is only my opinion that I have formed over about the last 6 years of playing. So if I am wrong feel completely free to call me out on it. Best of luck!

Hey folks, I'm new here and just wanted to see if there are many people near me that visit the site. I am from Mississippi and I know there are some good courses around and there are also plenty of crappy ones. If you are from the south or have ever played or heard of any courses down this way please do share. Once in college I played a course in Louisiana called the black bear. It was awesome but very very draining and I haven't really gotten the guts to go back and try it again yet if you know what I mean. When I talk to people from my home town nobody ever seems to have heard of it or really that many other nice courses. So I thought I might could find a better sourced crowd to talk with on here. Did y'all see my big comment? And while we are still on the subject here, and the irons made crappy the where they will lose performance earlier than big brands? If this is the case then I'll definitely be sending them back at the end of the trial period, and also, what irons on the market give you the most bang for your buck? I am not very brand loyal, really just looking for good clubs without having to pay TOP dollar.. And also, is it a lot harder to hit blades? Or should I give them a shot? I'm lefty so I never get to really test my friends clubs on my own...

I came to check out the warrior posts but since joining I believe I'll stick around, What's a good thread you would recommend to get me started?

For the record tho.. I have had the 3 hybrid and a different 60 degree by them for about 4 years now, the 60 has been my go to club, I just replaced it with the 52,56,&60... I like me, I can hit the 3 hybrid pretty well but it barely goes any farther than my Taylor made raylor 22 degree 5 hybrid so therefore I don't think it's up to par with the competition. And as I said earlier I'm impressed with the irons. I'm gonna have to try out some by other companies to compare.. I'm 6'4" and these are the only irons I have hit that are fit to me. And yes I have been fit tested at Edwin watts golf in Jackson ms. So I knew what corrections they needed to make. Also for the record as I said earlier I am from ms and from what I've seen warrior is from Cali so I doubt I could even become a rep for them as if I even would want to. And yes they do try to talk you into playing there game.. I called them knowing I wanted the wedges and wanting to try the irons so I say they played my game. Yes they send tons of emails.. I called them after seeing an email I just got last week and I had not contacted them in 4 yrs. I can't remember if they ever used to call me back then but if so I must have told them to stop because they haven't called since I can remember. But to ur point I think the business model sucks, I wouldn't even give a thought to trying their driver due to the lack of pop on the hybrid. But so far with the wedges and irons I don't really know what else to ask out of the clubs.. If I see better results from some others down the road you better believe that I'll let you know about it. And on a side note, what is the your opinion on drivers that are out there right now. I have an r11 and I really can crush it when I'm on but I think all the adjustments that are built in distract me more than they actually help.. What you think?

Man I sure hate to burst y'all's bubbles but I got the wedges and irons in this weekend and am very impressed... I read this thread for at least two hours after I made my order and y'all scared me to death... But who cares.. I like the clubs period
