  1. Im looking for a set of clubs for my son for his birthday. He is turning 9. He started playing last fall when I started, and is starting to turn into a solid player. I have found a few sites such as US kids golf that sell clubs, but I was looking for reviews from actual customers, not just the testimonials from their own websites. If anyone has any experience with any junior clubs or knows where I can find reviews it would be really helpful. thanks in advance....
  2. As I said, I have the 3dx rc's, and I love them. love the 3 and 4 hybrids. I also have the 3dx square driver. it is kinda loud when you hit it, but it is very forgiving and has added a lot of yards to my drives. the mishits still go far which explains the big gain in yardage. It just hits it straight, and with my skill level thats about all I could ask. Paid 67 bucks brand new on ebay, and you get plenty of bang for your buck.
  3. i bought my nickent 3dx rc irons new for 200 bucks... i love them, and the 3/4 hybrids are awesome... whole set is very forgiving... i have a tendency to hit my irons off the toe, and with the 3 hybrid I was still getting 220 yds and straight.
  4. I have never used one, but my next edition will be the sonocaddie v300 golf gps. I love the look of it and the features, and the fact there is no annual fee. only a one time membership fee. I'm convinced it'll help me, it certainly can't make my game much worse......
  5. Have you at all corrected that casting problem? I have the same casting problem when I hit my irons, and was wondering if you had any success. I have started to compensate for this by aiming about a 1/2in in front of the ball, which has had some positive effects, but I would like to correct the swing problem itself.
  6. I used one last week, but I was using a brand new driver, so I can't testify to the accuracy there. But my Brother's drives were going about 220 and had a slice just like real life golf. So i would say they are fairly accurate. I did have to club down one club for my irons. they all were about 10-15 yards long for me. The machine said my drives were consistently in the 280 yd range, off the heel of the club. around 300 when struck on center. Im hoping those results are accurate but won't know for sure until I get out on a course. It was great though, even if my results don't carry over, to be able to swing full and hit a ball. Wish I found this place in december. I was amazed that you could work the ball left or right on the simulator, didn't think it would be that accurate in that respect, but was pleasantly surprised. Putting was terrible, and I couldnt hit my lob wedge because the ball would hit the ceiling in front of the screen and it wouldnt pick up the ball. I enjoyed the driving range feature the best really, seeing all the info for my swing like path, speed, ball speed, trajectory, contact on face, face angle on impact etc etc... was the first time I could actually see that my path was outside in, causing my slice off the tee.... I knew I had that problem, but was amazing to actually see it.
  7. the only thing I have used is the medicus driver. It was great for me because I just picked up the game a few months back. It wasn't too hard to swing it without it breaking, but I had trouble hitting balls with it. I kept working with it and when I was able to hit balls with it my drives really turned around. it didnt cure my slice because I have an outside in swing path im learning to correct, but it did add about 30 yards to the drives I hit straight.
  8. Well Im very new to this game of golf, so my handicap is pretty high... well... very high... My thought on the tee shot is that is does indeed set up the entire hole. The only birdie I've ever made was on a great drive on a short par 4 (250 yd, drove it to the fringe). Im sure I could have made a couple more if I hit 9I and PW on the hole, but what fun is that???
