  1. Hey everyone. So I sold my old Driver thinking I would buy one of these Superfast 2.0's or R11's when my budget would allow. Well Im hitting my backup Driver (Tour Burner TP) horribly and have a small tourney this upcoming weekend. I found a good Deal on a SuperTri and it fit my current budget so I went ahead and bought it. It is the TP Version and comes with a Motore F1 2.1 X Shaft. I have read alot about this head being very spinny without the proper shaft. I have not heard much about this TP F1 2.1 shaft though. The club has not arrived but I need to plan ahead as I need a functioning driver soon. Any info on this shaft? Should I try to pickup an RIP 70 in Xstiff now and sell the current Motore shaft once it arrives? It seems that this is the shaft of choice for this head. Any help would be appreciated. BTW my swing speed was recently measured between 116-119mph. Thanks in advance.
  2. I think a half hour is about my range. Whos your coach? Is he good at working with what you have and not making you change everything? Thanks
  3. I think its time to go back to the lab and have my swing worked on. Can anyone put in the right direction as far as the best teachers here in los angeles. I Live in the actual city of los angeles in the silverlake area. This is near Glendale,CA Let me know who you guys have used or who has a good rep over here! Thanks!
  4. Just to update you guys again. I took a look at he x22's and x20s and I could never see myself going back to such a thick looking club. The look and feel is the exact opposite of my mp60's. The mx200 are much better looking so I went with those...
  5. Me again. I currently have mp-60's and have decided to get some mx-200's for my long irons. 4,5,6,7. Now I've seen alot of clubs coming with the project X shafts. Is there a big difference between those and the stiff dynamic golds on my mp-60s The shop is willing to throw in project x shafts on the mx200's but I can also reshaft my mp60s to match. Next on the agenda is my Driver. I have a r5 driver and it definitely looks old now. I have a good budget but dont want to overpay. Any 2008 drivers that I can get for a steal? Any 2009 that are just worth it? I would say $350 or under for the driver (200-300 feels better). Let me know.
  6. I think you've solved my problem! That makes sense to me as my problem is more on the long iron side. So I think I will probably either go with the mx200's or mp-52 in long irons and have a mixed set. That way if I get the time to play more I can just grab my mp-60 longs again and swing away. Thanks! Eddie
  7. Yeah I know its not a downgrade. I just called it that because my game was much better a few years ago and these clubs fit my swing. Since my game has downgraded I'm calling it a club downgrade because the mp60's are not forgiving enough for my swing. I went from trying to work the ball to more trying to hit it consistently straight. Im basically looking for a club that will be forgiving while Im playing less (so the game will be fun) but gives me headroom to be more of a players club down the road if/when Im able to play more. Would it be safe to say the mp-60's are too similar to the mp-52's? If so, I may look elsewhere. Maybe mx200's or x-22's..or (insert your suggestion here) Thanks again for your replies....
  8. JR what is your evaluation of the mp-60 just so I can see where it fits in. Thanks
  9. Ok, I really do like Mizuno so their more GI oriented irons are definitely in the running now. From what I saw Im looking at either mx200 or maybe even sell the mp60's for the the mp52's. Now Im confused :( . Are the mp52's much more forgiving them the mp60's? Or stick with maybe the x22's and keep the mp60's....
  10. Hey everyone. Im looking to actually downgrade my clubs to less of a players club. I currently have Mizuno mp-60's and really liked them when I first got them but my swing isnt really where it needs to be to play these consistently. About 2 years ago I reached my best scoring average which was at about a 10 handicap. Back then I would say that my ball striking capabilities where right at the mp60s level but now I've regressed due to lack of playing time. I was looking at probably keeping the mp-60's but playing something else for a while so that golf can be fun for now. Basically a club that forgiving but still has potential to be a players club. Take into the account im coming from mp-60s... I shoot in the high 80's now. Here is what I was looking at, any suggestions welcomed. Callaway x-22's, Callaway x-20, Callaway x-20 Tours, TITLEIST AP1. Any others? Thanks!
  11. I actually joined the forum to ask the same question. I will be posting my own topic soon but I bought mp-60's last year and have had mixed results using them. I was actually thinking of going backwards and getting GI irons. I was a 10 handicap a few years ago but am shooting in the upper 80's now. I think the mp-60s have made me realize im not as good as my equipment...
  12. I also had Nikes that became squeeky. Eventually the squeek turned into an unwearable shoe. I think shoes with air bubbles in general are prone to this as they can be punctured in many different ways especially on a golf course.
  13. Hey everyone, New to the forum here and thought I'd chime in... I really feel that the competition back in Jacks day wasn't as good as it is today. I know everyone is going to say that there were better players back then because of the household names, but if you look at the pure number of players that actually played the game of golf then and now then our game today should be considered a more competitive era. The more people that play a game the more likely you are to find a Phenom or someone who has the potential to dominate. This kind of goes back to how Wilt Chamberlain was so dominate in his day. If the game had been as global as it is today those players would not have been so dominate. Michael Jordan never scored 100 points in one game, did not win the most championships, did not hold the highest career average, etc but we see him as the best player to play the game. He had to play with far greater competition and with far more players with similar athletic ability. If you take away Nicklaus from his day, you would have a small handful of players that would have won all those majors and may have been who we would be comparing Tiger to. If you take tiger away there are a hundred golfers that would split up the majors because there are that many good players out there. This is why I feel Tiger is the best. With the population of golf expanding to numbers that far exceed Nicklaus' day we have to give it to Tiger for still dominating the sport. My two cents. Eddie
