  2. I dumped my 5 wood for a 18* hybrid. For me it all about hitting out of the high grass on bad tee shots. I find that swinging hybrids just slices through the grass. Whereas I felt the face on my 5 wood moving before impact. Just my opinion though. I carry my 3 wood around 240 and my 5 wood solid contact was 225. My hybrid is always 220 and where i want it to go. Ill always sacrifice distance for accuracy
  3. I played an old set of clubs because I couldnt afford new ones for years. Who cares as long as you have fun. And when you can afford new clubs trust me. They are so much easier to hit you will be so happy you waited.
  4. I switched from cavity backs to VR pro combos last fall. I was a 17 handicap last year, and now a 9.2 handicap. My house is also on an executive course that i play atleast 3 times a week. With the combos i have nice 10 to 15 yard gaps between clubs and hit a lot more greens. If your a 16 handicap, consistency is what you should be looking for. If you miss long or short try a players club. Also I hit the tour rocketbladz the other day, took 2 swings and was ready to buy them. Unfortunately my wife was there but i will own them soon. They are much more forgiving than traditional tour blades
  5. Found a Vapor Speed driver head on the golf course. Paid $50 bucks for Motore Speeder 6.0x. Had it trimmed down to 44.5 inches. I didn't think it would make much of a difference just maybe less unwanted fades. Wow when i used to hit my old burner st8 I carried between 240-250. But only 2 of 5 flew str8. Now i carry 240 consistently becauae 9 of 10 are str8. Big difference. It is mostly felt at address I just feel so confident I let it fly without worry.
