  1. The times I'm seeing on GolfNow are 1-4 bookings so looks like no one is currently booked st all. I'm also curious about the systems being synced?
  2. When I call the course as a single they usually just tell me to show up at a certain time of day (usually closer to twilight time) and they will work me in. When I look on golfnow or like sites they show several tee times bookable for 1 person prior to the time the course told me to come. What would happen if I book that single slot on GolfNow? Would the course just tell me I'm SOL since I'm a single or do they have to honor my time booked through the 3rd party site? Obviously they will try to pair me up which is fine. I don't expect to play as a single.
  3. Thank you for the feedback saevel. First time I've seen my swing on film and definitely noted the ball position also. Thanks for the reminder. Will check out the video for sure. I do have the tendency to slide the hips instead of rotating it seems.
  4. I've been Playing Golf for: coming back from a 6 year lay off but played high school golf and casually in college My current handicap index or average score is: only have 3 rounds under my belt in over 5 years but have shot 80-90 all 3 rounds - in high school I would shoot consistently around 80 My typical ball flight is: i tend to hit the ball thin, usually a little lower than i'd prefer The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: common miss is definitely the block/push to the right or if i try to compensate i will begin to snap hook Looking for any and all help. Just trying to get some consistency back into my game. Looking for some common faults you guys may notice. Thanks in advance. Videos:
  5. Not sure where this should go but... Are there any websites out there that one should check out if thinking about visiting a golf/vacation resort? We've been thinking about heading out to a lot of places but some of the top choices at this point would be - Las Vegas, Phoenix, Orlando, or Myrtle Beach. I'm sure she has more in mind but these are the top picks right now. Just need someone to point me in the right direction when it comes to gathering info for something like this? Thanks.
  6. kpaulhus - thanks for the suggestion ElWagonne - PM sent
  7. I know it's been about 2 months since anyone has posted in this thread but...I'm new to the DFW area. Working in Burleson and staying in Arlington. I don't really know anyone that golfs around here and would love to maybe join in with someone for a weekend round. Message me on here if you'd be interested in a round sometime. I'd be up for a round anywhere in the metro.
  8. I'm new to the Dallas/Fort Worth area (currently staying in Arlington) and looking for a few guys to play a round with on the weekends. I'm open to playing any course, anywhere in the metro. Just played Texas Star yesterday (great course). Haven't had a chance to play as much as I would like so currently playing to around a 15 handicap but would love to go out and just have a nice round with some fellow sandtrappers. Let me know if you'd be up for a round sometime.
  9. I'm currently hitting my irons great (for me). Accuracy and distance control is acceptable for me right now. Having a problem with consistency with the driver though. Seems to be all over the place now (not one given miss but instead i'll hit 1 low and left and the next high and right). I'm a natural "picker" of the ball and tend to have a shallower swing. Just wondering if anyone can diagnose the problem with the given description (probably not)? I'll try to record some video and post my swings. Thanks.

  11. I'm currently doing some travel work for a company that places you for 13 week assignments all throughout the United States. I plan on taking advantage of this and going to places that offer some decent golf in the area. I'm currently in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Tx area and after this assignment is over, I'll be off to the next. Just wondering if you guys could recommend me some places I should check out that have some good golf in the local area? My current assignment will be over in October so I would like to find a semi-warm winter climate to play some winter golf in. Thanks.
  12. Hello, I've been looking for a place to call home when I graduate and believe the Tampa, FL area has a lot to offer for my golf addiction. Just wondering what areas around Tampa you would recommend for easy access to public courses/practice facilities? I'm pretty open to any and all suggestions so please recommend as many as you want but please leave reasons why you chose that certain area. Thanks.
  13. The four 5 looks great but I have read that it has a problem fitting correctly on the back of a riding cart. Therefore, it is pretty much out of the running.
  14. Hello, Need a little help finding a bag that will fit all my needs. Here is a little info to help you, help me choose... 1) I ride in a cart 95% of the time. Other 5% I carry (never use push/pull carts). Must easily fit on the back of a standard golf cart. 2) It needs to be a stand bag b/c I like going to the range and need to be able to get to the clubs easily. 3) 14-way divider would be ideal but not necessary if the bag has full length dividers that will eliminate grips from becoming tangled. 4) The bag needs enough room to hold - rain gear, umbrella, gps, etc. A collectibles pocket would be nice to keep things safe. Cooler pocket that holds a water bottle would also be ideal. A easy to access pocket for golf balls/tees would be nice for in round use. 5) Does not need to be ultra lightweight as I do not walk that often but I do not want to lug around a suitcase when I do walk. I've been looking around on the internet and this forum trying to gather some info on the "perfect" bag. I do have some in mind but do not want to sway any opinions in this thread by mentioning them quite yet. Just want to hear what you oh so wise Sandtrappers have to offer. Thanks.
  15. Hello I've been looking at getting a pair of Oakley Sunglasses and have a buddy that is offering up his Flak Jacket Asian Fit glasses at a pretty good price. Unfortunately, he is over 200 miles away and I cannot try them on nor do any of the stores around me carry such a style to try out. Just wondering if the Asian fit is truly that much different than the original Oakleys? Here is a link describing the item... http://www.oakley.com/asian_fit I have a fairly narrow and tall head (I am definitely not Asian!). Think these glasses would work for me or would I be better off just sticking with the original style? Thanks.
