  1. In one week I have improved more than in 6 years. This week I have learned to control the path of the club and the path of the hands. This one is nearly more important. on the three-dimensional way. At the back swing and the forward swing. In my interpretation is forward swing. No many people explains that clearly. If you educate you hands to follow the correct path. The body will follow. I use a club with a laser in both ends to make sure I swing on plane every time. In one week I have cured thin, fat and the odious flick. The panic to skull pitch or shank. Just with knowledge. Not with hours and hours of practice something impossible to repeat under pressure. More I learn more I enjoy. The difficulty is to choose the good source of information. Because there are a lot of rubbish out there. This is a message to everybody. You don't despair things can click in just one day.
  2. This year I has drop 5 shot in my handicap. Just one thing it killing my game. It is the lack of belief swinging on plane. Hands eyes coordination save me from embarrassing situation but if I could apply the outward part of the three-dimensional components of the downswing everything would be so relax and enjoyable. From P6 I never complete the down and out part properly and get a solid P7 like a solid golfer. Target line is a witch
  3. I think it is impossible play competitive golf without thought. What I found very helpful is how I am swinging the club. I mean, I have spent many years mixing Swinging and Hitting unconsciously. Now I know the difference and I can make each technique on demand. Which take me to more relaxed rounds without so many thought. I use Swinging technique on long game and Hitting for windy days and short game.
  4. This years I have decided to make dramatic changes in my swing. I used to be a picker of the ball and I panic inside the bunker every time. My first day and I mean day because was all day of work. First drill: Understand the bounce of the sand wedge. So.... I drew a line in the bunker and hit the line with the bounce (vertically) trying to dig the bounce into the sand and beat the fear of digging. From there, I moved to swing and hit the line with the bounce and keep the face looking up the sky. Then I swing dig the bounce into the ground and I took the same divot on the same spot. No ball today. But..... I beat the fear of ground and divot. Next day I introduced the ball and without fear of the ground I started to play with how far behind or next to the ball the action was. I cried of happiness. I am not scared of bunker anymore but now understand how the different clubs work in relationship with differents lies.
  5. Hi everyone, After years following this forum I have decided to become member of thesandtrap. Is curious this name because the real Sand Trap is what has made me a really decent golfer. I've been struggling all my 8 years of golf. After many lnstructors, years of study and a couple of quitting. I've noticed that the secrect is really in the dirt as Ben Hogan once said. In the future I will explain how I've reached this conclusion. Happy to be here.
