  1. This bag has what I want: 14 way divider, external ball and tee holders, good price and nice design.
  2. http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=8738 Has anyone used an RJ Sports bag or know someone with one? I am looking at the one in the link but want to make sure the quality is up to "par"
  3. Thanks for all the feedback, I will be heading to TGW in a few days to try out several 3 woods with 15* loft (their headquarters are in Wichita). The one thing that I don't like about fairway woods is the smaller head size combined with the long shaft seems like a bad combination for a high handicap golfer (more mis hits). Where as a hybrid has the smaller head but a shorter shaft, but I guess the longer shaft on the FW will give you more distance than the hybrid of the same loft. So I will definitely try the TM V-Steel but I will also look at some FW with larger head sizes.
  4. http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=7144 What about something like this? Worth the extra $$$ ?
  5. Thanks, I will be looking into various 15* 3 woods.
  6. I am thinking about getting a 3 wood but thought I would get some advice before I purchase. I currently have an Adams 10.5 driver and a TaylorMade Rescu Mid 19 degree 3 hybrid, I then have a 3 iron and so on. I am wanting to get something to fill the gap between my driver and hybrid but only have room for 1 more club so i am asking if you would recommend a 3 wood, 5 wood or another hybrid?
  7. I have the Adams GT3's from www.tgw.com and they feel great. I am just starting out in golf like you and I highly recommend them. Also, I bought them on sale for $179, now I think they are $199.
  8. Thanks for the advice, I have bought the Adams GT3 irons mainly because of how they feel when I swung them. But I also chose them because I think they are more forgiving and will help me improve my game. The price was only $179 so once I get my handicap down and decide to get a set of irons that are less forgiving and more controllable I won't be out much money.
  9. I already purchased the irons, I appreciate everyone's advice. I didn't get them fitted because at $20 a club it would ahve been almost as much as the clubs themselves. However with the driver I do want to have it fitted, and if you read my post above I ask about buying used clubs and having them fitted? Which used clubs do you recommend? Also, I am not spending $400 on a driver because I am just starting out. My existing clubs are really cheap and even a $100 Adams driver should be more forgiving and give me the confidence to even pull the driver out of the bag. --Edit-- So you are saying I should hit my existing clubs until I get my handicap down.
  10. Thanks, I went by The Golf Warehouse and tried out several clubs and decided to buy the Adams GT3 set of irons. They were on sale $20 off. They felt really good and they come with 2 extra wedges. The price is also nice at $179 I can afford to put a little more on my next purchase...a driver. Now for a driver I am looking at the Taylor Made R580, a used Cleveland Launcher Comp 460 or an Adams driver to match the irons. I hit a Ping G5 last night along with a used Titliest driver but they did not feel nearly as nice as the Cleveland. When I pick up my irons I am going to try out a few more. Any suggestions? One more thing, I have been looking at used clubs because my budget is $200 but I won't be able to have them fitted to me, correct?
  11. http://www.woot.com/ has the above mentioned putter for $69+5 for shipping. It looks like a $200 putter. I have bought from woot.com before and they are respectable. They sell one thing per day and always have great prices. So has anyone played with this putter and what do you think?
  12. Off the Cleveland web site Launcher LP irons are similar to the original Launcher irons in that they are made from 17-4 stainless steel and sport an extremely high MOI, which minimizes the loss of distance on shots that are struck off-center. They both also feature a low and deep Center of Gravity to help those who struggle with their long irons get the ball in the air with less effort. Both also feature additional offset to help square the face at impact. Offered as a seven-piece set, Launcher LP irons feature a lower profi le for those golfers who desire more control in their game. LAUNCHER LP Launcher® LP irons feature a lower profile than the original Launcher irons for those golfers who are looking for incredible stability and more control. LAUNCHER An exceptionally forgiving iron, the easy to hit Launcher® irons offer mid to high handicap players more accuracy and less loss of distance on off-center shots. The regular Launcher irons look more like what I would get, but they aren't on sale like the LP's.
  13. http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=5490 These Cobras might not be as forgiving. Am I right?
  14. The LP's look like they are perhaps "Low Profile" and seem to have a shorter clubface. I am in the same situation and am looking at these sets. http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=7024 Adams GT3 $200 http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=4270 Taylor Made rac HT $400 http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=5490 Cobra King Cobra 2300 I/M $330
  15. Actually, I live in Wichita, Kansas where TGW (The Golf Warehouse) is located and they have a showroom. Their prices are the same locally as the website so I can go try out or buy anything with no shipping worries. I was looking at these Cleveland irons compared to the Adams GT3 http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=6975 or these Taylor Made irons http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...TEGORY_ID=4270 They are each $100 more than the previous pair but if I am going to piece together a bag I can spend $400 now and pick up a few more clubs down the road. So are the Taylor Made worth the extra bucks over the Clevelands or Adams?
